This is one of those songs where the live version absolutely blows away the studio verson
so much more emotion in an incredibly emotional song
This is one of their greatest performances live. The song was the perfect choice and they did it great.

The strength in his voice and heart. How does he manage to sing this song live knowing what it is about.
It brings tears to my eyes seeing and hearing the passion in his voice during the last chorus, He's singing about his mother.
This is what a band with a feeling means.
Every time I watch this video, it makes me cry. The Killers get so much emotion and passion into their songs, I'm sure they're one of the most underrated bands of the decade.
Im 59 and should be reliving the sixties, but The Killers are something else, what a class act. Brandon Flowers is a real showman....Hey Thanks.

This song is about his mother. Whom has passed away. I'd totally understand why'd he get so emotional.

every single time the strings swell to those high notes I get chill bumps and the hair on the back of my neck stands up, when the song ends I am almost in tears. Every. Single. Time. I don't even care for many of The Killers songs (Human is my fave) but this one is just off the charts.

I love it how the harp starts first, then the strings, a break and then guitars with the drums until at the end only one guitar. Beautifull! Great song.

I was at their concert in Miami last night.
They simply rocked, they have really good sound performing live. They played hits and couple off tracks. Go see them its worth the money, or have friends that work for a newspaper and get extremely lucky to get tix practically free.

Looking back at that first comment, I'm not too sure why I swore and came across as aggressive.
Incidentally, on what I said earlier, I will say that this song is one of theirs I think I enjoy most, for the emotion in it and the thought behind it - the emotion and passion particularly in this performance.
