Most Risen aren't given much free will. Zhaitan directly controls (or at least directs) their actions. When you kill Risen, in fact, you'll sometimes hear them cry out in relief (as they're released from the Dragon's control) before they are still again.
I so hope they do the Charr. One of the most interesting beast races in fantasy because of how they are "modernized", but also because of the vast and tumultuous history they have. What a cool race and culture.
Perhaps it may be better. However, I believe that the knowledge of politicians on pertinent subjects is better than the knowledge of the collective. Would direct democracy allow more freedom? Why yes it would. However, I believe that the order and security of the state and its political system is a higher priority than freedom.

Empire from Warhammer, not the Imperium from 40K, they did a video on that, yes, but the fantasy Empire has got nothing yet. Hell the DARK ELVES got one before the empire did :P

As a big Guild wars lore nerd/fan, I like how this video gave a good, basic overview of the country without tying into deeper parts relating to the personal story and the living story sequences after it. It's good to get somebody started without having story elements possibly spoiled.

3:35 No Refugees from Orr actually went to Kryta. The cataclysm which sunk Orr beneath the waves not only killed the invading Charr but also every single human with in the kingdom. The only known survivor and refugee was the adviser to the king of Orr known as Vizier Khilbron who turned out to be the one which made the cataclysm happen and was now an undead lich. Later defeated and slain by the hero refugee from Ascalon.

I honestly think Guild Wars could have been so much more. Really good setting and lore. Biggest map I've seen on any game (minecraft not included). art style that competes with any fantasy game to date. such a shame, it could have been so huge.

Cute take on Kryta but I think the Unseen Ones influence on Kryta beating back the Charr is widely understood. Plus the true story is playable in GW1.
