Wouldn't it be awesome if, eventually, a character was introduced to Devil May Cry and he/she would use Agni and Rudra and allow them to talk? Omg, they could have their own spin-off series! ^_^
They do chirp in every now and again. In particular, their level 3 swordmaster skill has them say “ashes to ashes” and “dust to dust” if you mash it to completion. Most others are just battlecrys, but you can get them to laugh if you complete their delayed 3 part ground combo with the mash finisher.

Little trick- Get doppelganger if you already have it. Plug in a second controller and select the Dante costume that gives infinite time in Devil Trigger and Doppel. Get a friend who's good at the game to help you. Activate doppelganger and tell your friend to press start on the second controller. They'll be controlling your doppelganger. Pretty sure that'd make it a heck'uva lot easier.
Good'ol Gaming Yeh. I used to do it with my stepbrother all the time, but mostly because I loved the game and we both wanted to play a two-player game. I didn't want compromise, I wanted Dante.
TheXenomorph1 on DMC3 i had the special edition (of the HD remake that came with DMC1 and 2) when i used the Super dante costume everytime i tried to use doppelganger, the DP would disappear normaly it pissed me off, since i could not play bloody palace with my bro anymore
As a guy from India and the one who has played dmc3 earlier so I can say that Agni and Rudra were amazing bosses. Defeating both was very difficult. Both were powerful and when I defeated them for the first time, I wa so happy. The weapons were rewarding.

Dmc3 looks and feels exactly like an early 2000s time capsule and I love that feeling to death, dmc4 also kind of has its own timely feel that also aged like fine wine 🍷 Edit: I just wanted to add on as well how the image and how the game looks as a whole also adds to that very nice 2000s time capsule feeling and design.
My favorite boss battle is with Vergil, no doubt. I like big boss battles, but I love fighting with someone as fast and powerful as you are. That much fast-paced action just gets my blood boiling. When I saw Vergil enter Super Devil Trigger for the first time I was like "I got this, just stay away from him." Then he started teleporting and I was like "Well shit."
I can do it for him. Agni & Rudra is great for crowd control and stunlock, Beowulf is a great boss killer and damage dealer. Works great with all styles, it's a generally good weapon set. I usually stick with Rebellion/A & R, Rebellion's Swordmaster skills works great on the higher difficulties. Dance Macabre followed by a DT Explosion always guarantees a set of kills even on DmD.

I love it when each boss battle in the series use industrial music! Agni and Rudra's track Brothers in Arms really gave me vibes to Razed in Black ngl.
They were whooping my ass at first but after I discovered by complete accident I could parry and stun by attacking the same time they attack it was curtains beat them in like two minutes and revenge never felt so rewarding
Arkham, but mostly on Dante Must Die Difficult and on it's "second phase", you can't go devil trigger, so you take all the damage compared when reduced in DT, plus, there's one attack that is almost impossible to avoid.
also it shows how "religion" can be corrupt if the leader is corrupt which i thought was really cool to put in! And yeah, Nero's face.....yeah. And his voice! Johnny Young Bosch!!! hell yeah! meeting him face to face is too awesome
Well regardless of how hard they were, NO boss in this game was as hard as Cerberus and Agni/Rudra. They were the first and forced you to learn the game.
@dmcrulezall yeah, the easyest way to get rid of them is to attack Agni until he's almost dead, then kill Rudra and finish off Agni before he can pick up Rudra's Sword.
DMC5 might have the best combat, but DMC3 has BY FAR the best soundtrack in the series. not even close. i like dmc5's soundtrack - but the battle themes being "just" some songs from bands kinda puts me off. this is so much more fitting
The trick is to damage both of their healths equally and finish them both together, because once you kill one of them, the other takes hes sword and transforms into a mean fucker which is a pain to defeat.
I liked DMC4 more because I could sort've... believe it more. I know that's a big thing to say in a game about demons and stuff but I could understand it. Also Nero. Nero's face. Mmmm... Oh and the music. But this one is also amazing for that. And gameplay.

One of the moves you can unlock for the swords also makes Agni and rudra say a line, something like 'you're finished!'

This was definitely the "wakeup call boss" of the game.
After i finally beat Agni and Rudra, the entire game felt much easier.
