I have a Nova p300c in Use for a while now and its been great. I only had 2 issues with it, both of wich they fixed in the p600C so I ordered one of those and maybe I will sell my p300c for another one of the 600s.
Issue 1. The Controller always needs a Cable. Thats mostly a pain when transporting the light. It increases setuptime and introduces a potential failure point. The p600c now has pins on the back of the controll box so you only need the cable when the controller is used remotely.
Issue 2. The 300c doesn't have LumenRadio DMX. Not a feature for every day but a big deal for a Pro Gaffer. The p600c also fixes that.
Im really looking forward to seeing what you do with 10 of them. I would still probably take one Arri M40 over 10 Novas though. 🤪
I just got mine from our local store here. Im excited and will be hustling this the next two weeks to grab 2 more to have a solid line up for lights

Nice video man, one thing I’d be SUPER interested to know is: how could someone manage these light to lit up a cyc? Is there any chance?
Cos I build a cyc in my studio and was interested to use these lights but really don’t know how many of these I need and also how much they spread and lit a wall (mainly a cyc) at a certain distance @5600K, or set on different color tints.
My cyc is 23 by 15ft and 13ft tall, but can’t do tests because no one rents Aputure products in Italy :(

Fantastic question! We are literally building a cyc as we speak in our office and it has similar specs as yours. Our plan is to hang 6 p300c’s in a grid. The vision is to light the background (CYC) with 2 p300c’s and have 4 p300c’s to light the subject onscreen (key and fill) we will upload a video once the construction is finished!
Man THANK YOU SO MUCH for answering, cos I didn’t find absolutely anything on how to lit a cyc with aputure products, and before buying I was interested in testing everything without actually buy a shitload of lights ha!
I considered to go in 2 direction:
1 with just p300c (white and colours) OR 2 lit up the cyc just pure white mixing 2 aputure 600d pro set inside spacelights mixed with other p300cs.

This has always been a question of mine. Why make lighting more expensive and buy new ones when older ones (like Neewer bi-color LED’s) work just as fine for making good looking films?
It all has to do with the quality of light and the utility. I've never used Neewer LEDs but I'm assuming they don't have the CRI, output, or utility as more expensive lights. I personally prefer HMI technology because it is a beautiful quality and super high output which is vital for big sets!

Aputure Amaran 100, Godox vl 150, used Aputure 120d
The Amaran is great! If you can deal with the downsides of the cheaper version I’d go with that for a budget light!
