OMG!!! Thank you so much for addressing the frequency separation issue.......a lot of photographers abused that Frequency separation feature and make the subject look so unnatural.
Nice vid! I love point #4 about consistency! Took forever to develop both the skills and understanding necessary to do this. It sounds boring, but that consistency is providing great value to your clients!
True! One of my friends even said that on testing days she only changes one variable, which kind of makes sense. How can you evaluate one thing when you are trying tow things.
So funny hearing you're bleeped out reaction to frequency seperation!! Don't hide your feelings on that John! :-) I think thats the first time I've heard you swear ;-)
Thank you so much for these tips! This made me look at my photography business in a new light and might have reignited the fire that was once there to go back to photography.
I'm trying to learn the subject to be able taking portrait photos for oil painting references, I'm thinking to use 5000K color light for best color representation to the true colors would you agree?
The cameras white balance has to match the color temperature of the light source. A color checker or gray card is likely the best way to know you’re capturing accurate color.
When I first started I took the time to learn and work with frequency separating because that is what was and is still popular around me locally. I never liked the fake orange peel skin look and will not use it. Needless to say I turn down alot of local work.
I will add to the F/S comment, I hate F/S overall for my style and drives me nuts when clients want it. I actually find the Female Portrait filter on Luminar 50% is so subtle and pleasing, plus it’s a 1 click fix (made a preset).
That sounds like a solid solution. I’ve been using this workflow. Beauty Retouching Tutorial With Infinite Skin & Infinite Retouch Photoshop Plugins ua-cam.com/video/Dm4Sy42rAj8/v-deo.html
