I just recently found you and love your work. I saw one of your videos from 2 years ago were you used a spay of Liquidtex gloss varnish and got amazing cells. I couldn’t find that method mentioned in later videos. After your painting dried did it turn out to be as good as using silicone to get cells if I didn’t want to use silicone? Would you recommend it?
I actually find silicone most helpful for cells. I stopped using that liquitex spray, because it stink when I spray it and it’s dangerous if you’re not in a well ventilated room

OH PPS: However... IF you decided to respond to this message...i would have a real question: Would it work for making cracks if the second color layer is just regular acrylic and not phase 2 something? I found the cracking medium on amazon but not the second phase you have in your video...
In other words, is just using regular acrylic paint would work as second layer for making cracks?

It depens on the type of cracking paste. There’s tons of them out there. So you’ll have to read the label what is says. Sometimes you just put the crackle paste on the painting and it cracks.
What do I use to make the paint have all the tiny bubbles. I have messed up so many canvases. I couldn’t find liquid silicone it was hard but I tried it any way the store told me it would probley work but didn’t, I am going to store tomorrow to pick up glue and use 60 to 40 . And try that . Didn’t you say you can use only the glue and water mixture with just the paints and still get all the tiny bubbles. Please help
Yes. If I make a swipe, sometimes cells appear. But you need a little torch or heatgun to pop those bubbles. I also make online courses in which I teach everything. If you’ll be interested in the future, you can contact me on my mail mii.paintings@gmail.com

By weight, but it would be similar by volume as well
This could not be more 3D if you cut the squares out and glued them on.
