I remember watching this teaser trailer when I went to go see The Blob 1988 remake, opening night at the movie theater.
Saw this opening weekend I miss the 80s fun times
This trailer makes part 4 feel A LOT darker in tone. I really dig it. I feel that tagline at the end though “Finally someone’s ready for Freddy!” more suited for Dream Warriors than The Dream Master.
Definitely. Not that I don’t like the movie that we got (it ranks in at #4 for me), but this teaser definitely has a darker/scarier feel to it.
@@JMaxwell85 In all honestly there’s a lot I do enjoy about part 4. I love the practical effects. Freddy’s resurrection/Kincaid’s death is truly terrifying. I wish it had kept that tone throughout the rest of the film. Freddy’s fun to watch regardless. The concept introduced in part 3 about Freddy’s victims being tortured after killed is cool to see expanded upon. The only thing that always nags me about part 4 is just for the sake of having a fourth film they made part 3 (the whole film/plot/ending) mean nothing. I can look past that though and enjoy 4. If I had to list the films from my favorites to least favorites it would be
1. Wes Craven’s New Nightmare
2. A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)
3. Dream Warriors
4. Freddy’s Revenge (I really feel like this one is underrated. Freddy at least is scary)
5.The Dream Master
6. Freddy’s Dead (I would have loved so much to have seen Peter Jackson’s version way more)
7. The Dream Child (The uncut scenes are awesome I will say)
7. Freddy Vs Jason (I love the concept but the movie isn’t what I would have liked it to be. I love the book “Slash Of The Titans” talking about all the various scripts. I read most of them)

amazing comment word this trailer still gives cats the creeps ...brings you right back to that time period....crazy part is true too...this trailer is classic and then you watch the movie and its even more classic 2.0 on a whole other level!
For years I thought I had lost my mind because I couldn't find this on the 'net. I remember seeing this teaser right before The Great Outdoors and never saw it again.
I actually remember this. Saw it 30 years ago before Critters 2:The Main Course. Brings back memories.
Me too when i was 6 years old when i saw Critters 2 in theaters in St Louis a month before moving to Omaha

I remember this with Critters 2 in theaters and i saw the first 2 Elm Streets on HBO at age 4 with my 9 year old brother and saw 3 on video at age 5 with my brother and saw this in theaters at age 6 with my then turned 12 year old brother and my dad took us to see it in one of Omaha's theaters.

Hated knowing he was gonna get the dream warriors in this one. They weren't prepared and freddy caught em slippin.

Why they showed clips from the first and third movie?
Ďrippy Đřê Aquaman because part 3 in particular is the entry that made the franchise mainstream, and this was only a teaser, which can come out between 6 months or even a year before the movie is released,
So they most likely didn’t have enough finished footage of the movie to show in a brief one minute clip. Thus, they used the “ memories” of the previous movies to build up hype from the existing fan base. This method was very popular with horror movies series in the 80’s(Friday the 13th and Halloween are even more guilty of this).
