I have a strong willed child and a milder one. Raised them both the same way. When the strong willed one mouthed off I immediately let them know what was going to result from that. You have to be fearless. Both kids are now in their 30's and doing well.

There is some great and wise and practical advice in this video that I wish I had had when raising my own four children. I made many mistakes. They are all adults now but I can still improve my relationships with them using these valuable ideas. Thank you. I appreciate this!

Jim Daly talks a lot in this episode. I wanted to hear more from this guest. She seems like she has a lot to offer.

I so agree, I really wish someone would tell Jim Daily to STOP talking so much when these guests come on - I don't want to hear him I want to hear the person they brought on to talk about their story.

I find that Jim struggles with allowing the speaker to really delve into a deep conversation and share what is close to their heart. He has an agenda and pre thought out questions he thinks are the best topics to focus on. So everytime the speaker dives in to talk about something, as soon as they catch a breath (hoping to continue on that topic) he takes that as an opportunity to completely change the topic back to his line of questioning. It makes for a very jumbled conversation and it feels like he is not truly listening or appreciating the speaker's expertise. It makes it difficult for me to watch these episodes because I just feel bad for the speakers because they are not given the opportunity to share their wealth of knowledge. Example: Becky talking about how she was teaching her grandson Noah to identify his emotions. We could have listened to more of that and heard how that teaching impacted his future experiences both with his sister and others. Instead, it was a dead stop after she said it was okay to feel frustrated and Jim took a complete left turn into something random. I don't like that.

@@dana8208 Dana you are so correct< so many times I'm waiting to hear more from the guest with their illustration on what they are discussing and he drowns them out, or tr throws in a joke ? I wish that John Fuller would do more of the interviews, he seems to actually listen. But I did glean some good stuff from this guest. Have a great day!

Spot on observation. Jim Daily should be given this feedback and he needs to be humble enough to "listen" and guide the conversation🙏🙏

Thank you. May I suggest the channel to active the English subtitles and allow them to be translated into other languages. It is really helpful.

Thanks for this helpful parenting advice. Just curious how you can say tell me more when what you’re hearing from your teen daughter is complaints about how her nose is flatter compared with others and therefore she wants to work hard while studying so she can have have a nose job?

Really frustrating to listen to the reason why you invited a guest when Jim is talking more than the guest… I’m seeing this was a year ago. I’m praying it has been shared with Jim and has been worked on diligently. It is really hard to focus on what the guest wants to share with us.
I believe the interviewer should provide guidance and staying on schedule but that’s all. Maybe one of his own stories to relate and share per episode. The time is short to hear all the guests have to say. So I feel the message gets cut off for listeners.

So frustrating! I want to hear more from the guests - she's constantly being interrupted for his thoughts and personal situations! 😖
