- Today’s tutorial is a neutral smokey eye with a diffused winged liner, which helps to elongate the eyes. This tutorial’s colour palette is one that will suit everyone - you may just need to adjust the depth of colours to suit your skin tone. For example; If you’re of a deeper skin tone you will need to use darker neutral eyeshadows, and if you’re paler in tone you can try lighter shades so they’re not too dark on you. A neutral smokey eye with a pigment such as 'naked' from MAC is beautiful for a bridal makeup look too.

This is exactly what I've been trying to find!! I have the hardest time doing a "smokey eye" its always way to dark or just looks like a normal natural look.. I love this look! It’s so satisfying seeing you put on the eyeliner perfectly. The hard part for someone less experienced is creating that beautiful gradient with all the colors you used.
It definitely takes practice but the more you try it the better you’ll be!

Another great look Shonagh. Any tips for winged liner for hooded eyes. I find one if my eyes droop more than the other.
It can be quite difficult to create winged liner on hooded eyes, it really depends on how hooded the lid is. I would look straight ahead in front of a mirror and plot out the shape with some eyeshadow first. Then look down into a mirror and you should see a gap where the hood stretches out, you then want to match up the lines so they meet. Then fill that space in, and look up again straight into the mirror and see how it looks, then just neaten it up. If you lids droop too much I wouldn't recommend doing a winged liner as it print onto different parts of the lid as you look up and down. I have covered this in other tutorials but I've done some many I can't remember which one to direct you to now, if I find it I'll come back and link it for you. I will also try to find a suitable model to film it on.

I also bought the new NYX total control foundation,(ordered it online and my good friend shipped it to Nepal from New York) but it seems like its 1 or 2 shades lighter than my skin tone. I saw the Nyx foundation drops in a store but I'm curious - does it oxidize? I'm quite pale and need something that won't oxidize.
Do you have any recommendations for a good cheaper alternative for the black eyeshadow? I'm struggling to find a decent one, but don't have a massive budget xx
I'll be honest, I'm yet to find one that rivals the Natasha Denona one. Usually Makeup Geek are my favourites for eyeshadows but their Black is chalky. I like the Louise Young Black but it's still not a budget friendly eyeshadow. If I find one I'll update you, sorry it's not much help.
