Finally a comment that is about how well Sinner turned this match around. All the others just comment about wind, basically somewhat invalidating Sinner’s win. The wind affected both players and the better player adapted better to it.
brutal conditions to be playing in so congrats to rublev for holding his ground most of the match and sinner for managing to clutch a win after a horrible first set. rublev is playing well seems like he has his confidence back so hopefully he can do big things at the us open this year. as for sinner i'm curious if he can defend all those points from his great hard court run last year, i hope he can but his start to the post-wimbledon hard court season has been shaky so far.
But man, his emotions, I mean he still can’t really control them. I don’t see him ever changing deeply. Sometimes for short periods he will contain them for a while, but he can’t run away from his demons
@@Stu49583to be honest, i agree with you. i really love him but can't see him changing in a long-term. but i also think it's fine, it's a part of being human and his nature. he knows what the problem is and trying to fix it 🤷🏼♀️ sometimes he's good, sometimes not
it's been rough for many of the top players (medvedev, djokovic, alcaraz, sinner) so it will even out. sinner's current run in cincinnati can make up some of the gap as can a deep run in the us open. remember that last year he only made r16; him winning the entire tournament is very possible. he can also choose to not defend beijing/vienna and instead favor better runs in shanghai/paris which are definitely feasible. i'd also have him as the secure favorite going into the ATP finals right now just because of how elite he is on faster hard courts.
The wind is crazy out there Plus, Tennis TV squeezing in Andrey's racket smash, really telling how they tried to still paint the narrative of "always happy, good kid" Carlos by not including his racket abuse. They called Nishioka "lost it", "mentally gone" in his Cincy loss, but Carlos is "passionate", "wanted to win this match so bad"
What a wind from Sinner! Even with the wind, he remain undeterred. Wasn’t easy with Rublev really playing some great tennis but perseverance paid off. This shows remaining on the point is so important.
Grande Sinner!!! Un vero campione anche giocando con tanto vento e non era una facile partita. Veramente Ammirevole. Dai che puoi arrivare alla finale!!
Ok the windy conditions of the tournament, but the GRANITIC MINDSET OF SINNER MADE THE DIFFERENCE AND ITS MAKING THE DIFFERENCE THROUGHOUT THE TURNAMENT TAKING IN CONSIDERATION THAT HIS FISIC FORM ISNT AT HIS BEST
I think Sinner winning in these conditions will help his mental game and confidence to play more free and aggressive as he USES to play before QF with Meddy. I think it’s just confidence in game play for Sinner to play free and what we see as dangerous. His serve can save him also!
I was in the stands, and it was tough to see there with the sun glare. Granted, I was near the top, at a similar level to the camera. I don't know what it was like closer to the court
WOW. The tennis ball is almost invisible... Didn't they see the TV coverage before choosing that paint for the court? I literally couldn't watch any match this time.
Wind happens. We often had to play in windy conditions. We didn't like it but we learned to adapt. A drop shot into the wind was cool ... lobs were not advised. The best players can adapt to the conditions and win the match.

Andrey, before this year you couldn’t even take a set from Jannik. Your fans appreciate and are proud of your fighting spirit as always! Rest well and come back stronger in the US open :D
It was very tough to conform to the weather conditions. It was utterly volatile, not keeping the concentration at the highest scale, not holding the rallies under the composure and control. The center court in Cincinnati is apparently deteriorating for the last couple of years. The stains on the court make it really hard to see the ball and follow the rallyes when the sun is shining.
yeah it's weird given that he is one of the best all-court players we have seen in a long time. If Sinner was just some pusher that was #1 then I could understand the hate, but he ain't and plays a fun brand of tennis. I assume a lot of them are just Carlitos super fanboys.
The wind made them both look drunk!
Ah, I was wondering why are they playing so strange 😂
Nothing worse than playing tennis in windy conditions man i can tell you from experience
The wind made ball drunk.

How can it possible a tournament like this where it's impossible to see the ball, with this weather's condition... it's really bad

The players can see the ball fine. It's the angle of the camera that makes it hard to see as a spectator.
What ball
