Can't say how much I appreciate that you show the raw files as well, because it gives a great window into what your vision was, seeing raw material turned into final product. I'm very excited to see you tackle more of Scotland! I felt such a kinship with that place, and my dream is to spend several months driving around Scotland, staying in small B&Bs, photographing and enjoying the landscape. The food may not always be great, but at least the beer makes up for it!

I loved this video! I think you should do an all drone video for each area you go to to announce your next set of photos, or a video at the end of the year with all drone footage of all your favorite places you've been to that year. Keep up the great job and looking forward to your next video!

Wonderful video Adam, I think I've followed a simpler path with my drone. Originally getting the Mavic Pro to shoot video for UA-cam and then finding it a fantastic camera for stills, then upgrading to the Mavic 2 Pro with the 20 Mpx sensor. Now it goes on every trip I take no matter whether I'm vlogging or not. I liked what you did with the edit on the first shot to address the fact that you weren't happy with the light. But the image with the drone really captured the scene beautifully and I liked the composition you found. Once again excellent video mate, thanks for sharing! 👍
Cheers, Andrew! The only problem with these drones is that it's getting expensive with the upgrades, lol. So far I really like the new Mavic, not as glitchy as the first version. It is rock solid in the air as well which is what I really like.
@@QuietLightPhoto Yeah they are getting expensive, but there is a lot of amazing tech packed inside these drones that allow people like me to fly them. I also am finding I have a lot more confidence in the Mavic 2 Pro over its predecessor.

I also love the intro of some of your videos, like this one, where you show off a ton of beauty right from the start. Haven't seen other channels do this and I enjoy it. I believe the drone footage wins the day on this video Adam. I like the remoteness of Castle Stalker whereas if you have irritating in laws with a bad habit of showing up unannounced, this location should solve that problem! I can't get enough of your drone footage Adam as it adds a wonderful element to a already superb presentation. The elevated compositions on both castles were excellent. Great stuff Adam as usual. However, how did you manage to get drone footage around Eilean Donal Castle as when I visited last November they were strictly not allowed with large notice s on the ground aprroaching the bridge and all the way from the car park ? Have things changed ?
Great video Adam. "Can't come to Scotland and not shoot some ancient castles" obviously didn't include a Hardcastle 🤔. Absolutely love Scotland. My heritage is from there as all my mum's family (including Shane) are from there. Unfortunately I wasn't seriously into photography until I emigrated to Australia. Now I can't wait to get back over there and do a load of photography.

What's up with the pulsing light on the castle at 1:22 ? Is that an interaction of the drone frame rate and the local power frequency? Or do they just have wonky power at the castle?
Love the drone shoot but I hope you are planing a lot of traveling with your new "eye in the sky" now that it's almost impossible to fly one in Canada or are you going to make that "pilot license?"
Well, thats the great thing about Canada, we have lots of laws but nobody to enforce them. I'm not too worried, just take the test and be done with it.
Such a weird thing happened with the drone shot of the first castle. I was interrupted and paused the video. But when I hit resume, it stayed on the castle and played and played Celtic music, which could have been Scottish. Eventually I figured out that playback hadn’t restarted and that my ipad must have picked up music form one of my playlists.The music was highly appropriate but I couldn’t figure out why you were playing a whole tune while showing one photo. Too funny. That workshop would be awesome.
Dammit man, stop with the awesome drone images & video. I can’t afford another hobby and you’re giving me drone envy. Great work as always Adam and I love the humor. I think Gavin is wearing off on you.

There is a sign but you are permitted to fly before 8 or 9am and after 5 or 6 sorry cant remember the exact times
