Stefan Confronts Sully in the Final Episode of Top Boy | Netflix
/ @stillwatchingnetflix
Sully takes charge, pushing Dushane to cash out, but with a new order comes new challenges, threats, and consequences.
I like this scene cos it’s also a nod to the fact that Jamie did raise Stefan and Aaron right. Remember the previous season when they’re talking about Ats, Jamie tells stef that Ats didn’t really have a choice cos Dushane had him in a headlock and that he should forgive him and to not let hate swallow him up
Stefan thought of those words "don't let hate eat u up stef" and just thought to himself I'm about to risk everything over hate and revenge against a man who probably dosent even want to live so he thought it's not worth it it really isn't Stefan not killing Sully has more reasons than him killing him
He raised Aaron right, however he would never allow him to leave his little brother Stefan in a foster home whilst he travelled up to Leeds - that doesn’t sit right with me that the writers did Aaron so dirty
The fact that sully did not use his gun he had on him and accepted his fate shows that at the end he wants to die after everything he went through
Or it shows that historically, pulling your gun out when you have a gun pointed at you never ends well
@@HonestMan112sully could've shot him through the hoodie, or could've shot Stefan once he turned around
Everything he did, not went through. There's a difference between the two.
@@CrazyMunky84very true.
@@ubt3606the minute he tries it Stefans flight or die will activate and pull the trigger straight away, he could’ve shot Stefan after he turned around but after the gun was pointed at him there was nothing he could do.
"The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury"- Marcus Aurelius
Stefs a smart kid. He realised leaving sully alive was a worse punishment for him than ending his misery. That dead look behind Sully's eyes gives him away. He's done.
Was killed by Jaq
9/10 stef wouldn't have even survived the second he turned around...

Yes he realize he could be the devil like Sully
When Stefan said "You're not worth it" Sully felt that, that wasn't something that just went over his head, that hit him. You'll notice even after he gets in the car, it's like that line is still replaying over in his head.
If they wanted to pursue a spinoff , that could be an option, stephan characters could call it topman
Right after he said he doesn’t have feelings… he’s the most emotional his emotions control him
nope. sully is just a bad egoist dushane tried to help him but sully cares about money@@repentyasharahla7632
😂😂😂😂
He was probably thinking "I knew that square didn't have the heart" and was wondering what to grab for lunch.
“You’re not worth it” was such a great line. Unfortunately, many in his situation would have pulled that trigger entering a never ending cycle to violence.
People don’t understand when sully walked his daughter to school that day u can already see in his face that he was done with life after he killed dushane because he was The only real one that had sully back he instantly regretted shooting him when he lost Jason to the fire that’s when he became more crazier u even seen him smile around Jason soon as Jason died the smiles stopped after that and sully had no reason to live no more
Alright man *Smiles* I’ll take you to see Arsenal play” ⚽️ 😢 In a scene after Jason dies Sully sees a back windshield logo of the Arsenal football team and then you can hear 🔥 fire crackling sound effects in the background. I knew Jason was a goner ☠️ as soon as I saw him holding Hediya and Faez’s baby in the scene where he’s eating dinner with them.
Sully was gay for that retarded dude
@@wattsnottaken1yh fr Jason meant a lot to Sully
I think everybody understands that
Except for his daughter
I clapped when he put the gun down . Good job young man stop the cycle of violence. Jamie won by raising two young men who will become up standing citizens
Repeating the cycle wouldn't be worth it. And Stefan saw that Sully wouldn't lose anything by dying. He had already lost everything and killing him would probably just do him a favor.
That’s a great interpretation 👏
He still Had his daughter
He was still food 😂
100%, in that last moment of topboy history stef did what no one could do in all the series, end the cycle. Topboy is a masterpiece series, the part at the end with sully was to entice discussion as to who did it. They probably will never tell you who actually did it, thats good filmmaking.
@@marureaper3636it was Stephan you fucking moron
Stef is a far better brother than I could ever be. On my mother I woulda emptied that whole clip into that boy for killing my brother in front of me like that
Real Talk
that's why this scene in unrealistic. Irl a kid who had seen what Stefan saw woulda killed Sully right then and there and the cycle would continue
@@Lowkey-bx7nt yeah cause you can use millions of street niggas by example 😂 foh
@Lowkey-bx7nt Not exactly. No matter what happens, some people don't have it in them to take a life.
@@lefez9015 I agree with this statement. But Stef has lost both his parents, his best friend was stabbed to death and his elder brother was shot right in front of his eyes. Someone who has gone through that wouldn't think twice before killing sully. That is just too much trauma for a 15 year old to manage
'feelings left me a long time ago' has got to be one the hardest lines ever.
Best line. He felt deadly already n knows his pain
That actor that played Sully absolutely nailed the warrior's mentality. His performance in this scene was perfect.
His names Kano. He’s a rapper and I’m pretty sure Top Boy is his only acting role which is mad
Nah he was in kidulthood and adulthood and he was amazing in those movies
@@Jefferson-xi8tu wtf no he wasn’t 😂😂😂
@@SkDynamx oh shit I got him mixed with Noel Clarke my bad😂😅
Kano was big wayy before his role in Topboy. Him and Asher D (Dushane) are Grime artists... Asher D was in So Solid Crew. In fact, Kano was big before he even got signed to his 1st record label. Google Lord of the Mics and find out for yourself.
The final words Sully ever heard towards him was "your not worth it" that never went over his head that line stuck with him for those final minutes
I think Stef saw Sully already suffering a lot in his mind and just the thought of killing sully is actually doing sully a favor. So he backed off thinking this guy is already suffering through a lot especially when he talked about feeling detached from his own feelings for a long time. Plus sully knew his fate is coming sooner rather than later
You do too much.
The reason Stef didn’t do it is cos he wasn’t going to give sully the satisfaction.
@@omokok1877bruh he jus pussied out lol he is a kid tbf but anyone on piss is lettin it off in his shoes Sully done way too much to him and his people. Infact anyone really on it wouldnt even do no talking just like how Jaq done him in the end…
"How does it feel" Stefan was asking Sully what its like to be a killer. When he saw how emotionless Sully was and how he wasnt even phased that a gun was in his direction he decided not to shoot because he doesn't want ro be as broken as Sully
100% correct. The question was not how it feels to have a gun pointed at you, the question was how it feels to be a killer. I think that can be easily missed.
no incorrect.. he didn’t wanna kill sully in a open park with people 😂 so he wanted to get a confession as to why he did what he did then followed him to his car and smoked him

Sully is the toughest we've seen in a while. For those who said the this season seems rushed is probably right. Topboy is a great series and for it to so quickly end is quite disappointing
Especially after rewatch of season 1 and OG season 2
They could have at least done the 10 episodes
He’s invincible, he got shot two times in the stomach this season and walked it off. So of course it would be a headshot that puts him down for good
Edit: just realised he wore a bullet proof vest against the Irish
Sully was dumb
Rafe is tougher.
Sully knew he wasn't gonna pull the trigger from jump... it reminds me of the phrase you'll never see it coming (which he doesn't in the next scene)
One of the best scenes in top boy every episode so well written I want more
I know Stefan had every right to seek revenge on Sully for killing his brother, but honestly him letting him live. I think it was the right thing to do with me because I want to see this character live in normal life and he’s not dragged into the same world. His brother was in, even though the circumstances were how he provided for them for him and Aaron, I want to see him live normal, normal life, not being dragged by the streets
Could swear Stef reminded me of Jamie the way he walked up to Sully with fearless swag and started pointing jeez
this season felt so rushed & chaotic.. it’s a shame cause i loved this show, it just didn’t feel right watching jaq steal from sully when she’s been so solid this whole time & Dushane leaving the murder weapon behind? like cmon now he’s too smart for that & they completely dropped the whole Lizzie arc idk.. very disappointing to say the least but i still love this show, sully the realist
It’s masterpiece, sully got what’s coming to him perfect ! Your best friends or family and love one are the worst Enemies ❤ the dialogue is real life
Sully puts away his gun when he gets in the car at the end, he could have pulled it out and killed stefan at this point but didn't
Sully has a code, as he told Dushane, while they were getting info on Jamie: “no kids or anyone that is not on the road.”
Sully out here lookin like a sith lord
Just watched this episode and what can I say! End of an epic series with an epic ending. This scene in particular was emotional, Sully (aka Kano) simply nailed it. He deseve a Bafta for his superb acting, I've never seen someone portray a role so powerfully and stay emotional connected in character. Everything he did made you feel what he was going through In that moment. Brilliant acting 👏
Lets be honest Sully knew he was done he accepted his fate he even told his daughter he wont be around for a bit looking over your shoulder like that constantly knowing u have god knows how many enemies and people around u that could do u at any moment he knew he was done for
If Stefan pulled that trigger he would’ve turned out like tariq
Although I think the show suffered from missing an extra couple of episodes this final season, just so we could get more time with the Irish and more development with Jaq and Lauren to justify her decision to rob Sully, the sheer depth of the comments section on every single clip is true testament to what a wonderful piece of art this series was 👏👏👏
The nature of the scene is way more intimate than you think. Don’t take it so literally. It was psychological battle
over physical one. Sully played a psychological trick, he wanted to take away Stef’s power by surprising him and playing on his conscience that’s one, secondly he wanted to intimidate Stef that even at death Sully was a decision maker that he was immortal because it was only up to himself whether and how he will end his life.
Now Stef was smart enough to react to it impressively by taking this power from
Sully by ignoring his command and will.. Stef showed Sully his place and Sully’s House of Card, the invincible Sully collapsed by one sentence from Stef.
The situation between those two was so intense and of such a substance that Sully couldn’t simply take out Stef because then he would have make his image of himself even more miserable that the couldn’t stand Stef’s confrontation and thus he would have displayed his own weakness…
Stef knew it that he had man frozen and that’s why he simply knew it that he won’t shoot him… Like i said it was too intimate, that paralyzing to Sully.
There are certain situations where even Sully couldn’t just couldn’t be above the unwritten rules.. if he took out Stef from the back he would feel a loser forever and always below Stef who absolutely annihilated him with that one sentence.
The Top Boy is Stef who appeared to be above the game.
Beautiful analysis
People have said that Sully wanted to die, and I think that’s kinda true, more like accepted it. When he’s in the car and he laughs, I think he’s already seen someone approaching the car and knows he’s gonna die. Puts his seatbelt on (could be symbolic for getting ready to go to Hell), and is shot by either Stefan or Jaq. More likely Jaq in my opinion since she didn’t get that free pass like she wanted. Sully knew he was a monster, so if he carried on living, he’d kill her for definite. But it could have been any number of people Tbf, like Si or someone from Issac’s crew since Sully shot the two drivers meant to pick Dushane up.
“When he’s in the car and he laughs, I think he’s already seen someone approaching the car and knows he’s gonna die” no blud u got that completely wrong 💀 probably laughed because of the interaction with steph.. specifically the “your not worth it” line
You way overthinking this bro.. dude put on his seatbelt because he is in a car with no tints and would drag police attention, and he has guns and drugs in the car… you thinking too hard cuz

This show was Amazing smdh. Organic Natural everything. I appreciate the UK black folk
I watched the first series of the show years ago. Every once in a while I catch a clip like this, and I think it’s very well written and acted. In this scene, the man who plays Sully is so in command that he was able to convey the loss of ‘feelings’ just through his facial expressions. Likewise, the guy opposite him did a great job of revealing his confusion at the lack of impact his pointing a gun at Sully had. The subsequent realisation of it not being worth pulling the trigger was all revealed through facial expressions. This was a brilliant scene. The dialogue was well-written, but ultimately not really necessary even for me to understand what it was all about.
jaq: (watching from behind a tree) DANGIT MAN, now i gotta dun sullys dance.
They did rush the last season it could have had more depth and detail, but I have zero problem with the actual plot, very powerful way for Stef and Sully to finally cross paths and a powerful way for Dushane to die as well. TONS of metaphors and symbolism in both scenes they were both very well done. This is not a Game of Thrones situation.
So sad the way it ended Dushane and Sullys fates were so similar but diffrent aswell like Sullys was slowly building up then was just bang dead and Dushanes was slow painful and just filled with emotion they were so similar but so diffrent from each other we all hate how it ended but it was the right ending im gonna miss this show man
Man came to ask how does it feel😂,sully knows he ain’t gona 💥
That hit harder then a bullet ' your not worth it.
Sully was quietly working it in his head that Stef will shoot, no question but maybe telling him that there is no real life after killing someone will resonate with him even more which it does. What Sully didn’t see coming was being told that “he wasn’t worth it” not understanding how many different levels of humanity lives within Stef to recognize he see’s far beyond this street game and can get in it anytime he wants but the much more tougher day by day game of life is what he will conquer. He won’t risk that and/or his possible future family for someone who’s been dead for a while. Almost seems if Stef jumped in the streets, it would be to clean em up, maybe like the Punisher
Sully perhaps had accepted his fate but I think above all this shows that he has a code (we can debate whether its moral or not). He was willing to be killed by the boy whose brother's life he had taken in front of his eyes because he understands that this is the cycle of the streets and despite his justifications for killing Jamie, Stefan is "justified" in wanting revenge, so Sully was willing to let him have that. Stefan on the other hand realizes that the punishment worse than death is letting Sully live the quasi, subhuman existence that has become his life.
It’s tragic out of everyone Aaron and Ranell were the few ones to not give in to that lifestyle and most likely living a normal life. Can only hope Stef will do the same after sparing Sully. Everything in the series showed how hard it is to make it out of poverty without resorting to crime.
Deep!!
Needs a ten toes instrumental youtube short now! 😂😅😅
seein Jamie's chain in this scene almost got me bruh
I take it Steffan realises that Sullys only a shell with no emotion. Theres no satisfaction taking his life because he doesnt see fear in him, or anger or despair. The feelings he felt when he saw jamie die in front of him. Rather he just saw a guy whos soul left him in the game
What a great season. Very action packed and dramatic. A great way to end this classic series.
No it isn't
No it isnt it was so rushed
Sully is done after Dushane. He knows after killing Dushane and everything else that happened that he ain’t shit. The truth is everything Dushane said to sully through this series was correct. Sully wouldn’t be shit if it wasn’t for Dushane and all sully can keep repeating is he just wanted Dushane respect him. Realization has set in
Thats what i am thinking Dushane was his Brother and he realize he can be killed by anyon3 because Dushane was only one who can make him alife
I think Stef and Jaq plotted on Sully, not like she had beef with Jamie so she probably had access to Stef. Stef was tough but wasn’t ready kill, so Jaq volunteered to do it especially after sully made that threat
😮😮Your thoeries can be true
Sully is lowkey the best character of the series. He has the most humanity possible that you can get going through the events he had to go through. Everytime he tried to get out of it, he still experienced so much loss.
When you contrast how deshane and sully are portrayed, you never see sully in fancy houses, wearing fancy clothes, nothing. He's there because it's all he knows, it's all he is, and he's been institutionalized to the point there's no way out, and by the end he's a numb, relentless killer. The last bit of humanity in him was lost when Driss betrayed him, but he still couldn't bring himself to kill them, then he found himself having to kill for who the longest time was his brother which ultimately broke him. He had everything material you could want, but had lost everything in his life. Even in the end he couldn't bring himself to kill jaq after so many of his close friends betraying him

They should’ve played the music from the first season of summerhouse when Ra’Nell tries to stab Dushane
💯!!! Would have been perfect! Perfect parallel and throwback fan service, thats awesome
Sully going through the same situation Dushane did in Summerhouse, a day after killing him, with that music playing....completely changes the feel of this scene
I think especially once Sully had Junior kill Kieron he fully died inside, it had already been in progress but even before Dushane and Junior you could tell in his soul that he knew it was beyond wrong to do Kieron like that and it hurt him to do it
People need to realize how outta character (and predictable from a viewing standpoint) it would be for stefan to do this. He was a straight A student. His first fight was the one with Atts
Right seeing this transition was so sad
Sully is basically if Kano turned to the dark side.
Stef didnt have the minerals plain and simple bottle went at the very last moment proves that everyone just aint built like that
Must be the emptiest park in London ive ever seen, a young lad no regard of his surroundings pointing a gun at someone else! As if
Man season 3 needed at least 10 episodes way to many cliff hanger endings. Like I finished snowfall the other day and even though it was a fuked up ending it was still a satisfying one. This one was just like dam what’s next… 😭

This scene pissed me off. All that build up just for "nah not worth it"
So you want Stefan to continue the cycle of violence that leads to nothing but death and destruction? Alright.
You man just want to see bloodshed and some twisted sense of justice get fulfilled, you gotta ask yourself why that’s the case.

Jamie would be ashamed
I think it will be proud because he was better person that he was
Can't believe they pulled this clichéd bullshit. Especially after the whole scene with him and Erin discussing how it isn't right how Sully killed his brother and her dad and Sully immasculating Si and making him throat his glock and shit his pants in front of his whole crew. Considering all that this felt super hollow.

Even doe he didnt kill sully i still think Stephen going be on madness
We all know a bad boy Sully is, he was capable of Killin Stefan when he turned his back on Sully buh still didn't, meanin he knew something was very wrong and that he was still gon be followed and got killed
Sully was always an angry hot head from the start had a bad up bringing and only survived because he had Dushane but then losing Jason who was like his son just made the reckless rouge mind of Sully get even more twisted being forced to kill Dris to save his and Dushanes empire which lets be honest it was really just Dushanes but Sully who he and Dushane loved each other as brothers also had a sign of hate Sully was jealous of Dushanes leader ship and Dushane was sick of Sully being a liability everytime he got in trouble killing Dris only made him worse but towards the end killing Jamie gave him more relief but more aggression but killing Dushane was what made Sully think "this isnt what i wanted" he did not want to kill Dushane and Dushane did not want to have to rob him consumed by money and power either one of them were dying in summerhouse and the other one was shortly going to be put down too sad show
