Another great video of the 5 train in 1982. I remember the trains were either white or MTA colors with graffiti. I think in this video the trains are mostly R21s and 22s.

Haha yes I was almost born, in just 3 more years! I’m glad you enjoyed the video, and yes it is mostly r21/22s here. The all white paint scheme seems really cool, even though the graffiti probably bombarded them quickly 😅. Were they nice to look at when freshly painted white?

@@daveduce I thought the white paint was nice. It was a graffiti resistant paint. It could get marked up, but it was easy to clean off the outside of the train 🚆
