Jeff seems like a ok dude, at the least at a professional level as LD's manager. Irl they are all comedians and friends, too.
It works as comedy because they are all horrible people no one of us would be able to be around for a longer time.
Dude, Timothy Olyphant is underrrated. He’s just so terribly unlikable in this scene. He’s like just the perfect amount of over the top “nice guy” and has that kind of fake energy about him. Really great part for him
Edit: just to clarify, he’s just a good actor. This character (I hope) doesn’t reflect him as a guy. He’s been good in most everything I’ve seen him in

Jeff doesn’t have a single iota of loyalty to Larry. He’s just in it for money
Jeff is Larry's manager and Leon is a freeloader.
Lol, commenters are so black-and-white about stuff like this... yeah, the two of them personally gain from it, but they also do show loyalty to him, and there is ALSO real friendship there. When they agree with him it's genuine, hence why they don't always agree either.

Best part of this scene is how some characters that are long time associates of Larry's know his deal lol. he takes his time introducing himself to each guest, and brushes by larry with a quick handshake and a hi
Larry went to Timothy and said “Please act like every adult you hate.”
And boom. Here we are.
The way that Larry subtly notices how Mickey hugged everyone else except him! Larry is redeemed when Mickey approaches Leon with the same handshake that he gave Larry. Leon must be in synch with the vibes that Larry picked up on, he declines attending the attending the ceremony. It was so satisfying to watch, “Nah, I’m good”.
This episode is replayable comedy gold! LOL Especially when you've met smarmy people in the past. Spot on!!

Mickey’s hello to Larry seems cold and distant but at the same time, had he done anything more Larry would’ve had a problem with it

Never been to a resort/hotel that doesn't provide toothpaste and disposable toothbrushes...
Just looked it up, and apparently toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided at the front desk of many hotels for free. You just have to ask for them.
Must be an aMurican thing!! Almost all hotels in Asia do that!!
@Giovanna that is kind of what i meant... They would be happy to provide it if asked.. Which is fair....but having travelled to europe asia australia africa and south america i feel most good hotels do have it in the bathroom hygiene kit.

It's the best part because you can see them weighing the responses and then just opt out.

the sodium lights he looked into the camera because he was in the sun and it was in his face. He was uncomfortable and he didn’t think it was a good idea. In the following shot of him, they repositioned them a little bit further from the edge, in the shade and they added some lighting to balance out the harshness of the sun.
