Hey! this is amazing that you got a working Magnavox Odyssey super jealous, I wanted to give maybe a suggestion to fix/make better your 1 and 2 cartridges, you can use Isopropyl Alcohol and a Qtip to remove the rust, just don't drench the cartridge and be sure that it's completely dry before use. Again this is just a suggestion!
I've done this before with just about every cartridge game I have. But yes, I did this with every cartridge before I put them in the console. Thanks for the support!
The cards themselves have no circuitry inside them, they are more like giant pin jumpers to activate or deactivate or resize the white squares horizontally & vertically. It's hard to believe that it doesn't even contain any IC's cannot keep time or score, even the cheapest calculator is more powerful than this!🤣 It's a relic & should be in a computer museum (you couldn't even call it a computer, because it cannot compute anything!🤣)
I paid 80 dollars for an Atari 2600 and a few games in box which works well, but the Coleco Telstar arcade does not. I'm just happy I have parts for getting one up and running in the near future.

I saw an Odyssey box in display at the smithsonian a few years ago but no console!
I just wanted to see how much dust the oldest consle had but, this is actually entertaining
The console didn't have a ton of dust on it. Mostly some dirt from years of storage. If there was a bunch of dust I probably would've filmed it lol
Nice!
Nice video

Bout to order one hope it works
I hope it does too since there's not a lot that work like how they did when they came out almost 50 years ago. Thanks for the support!
Where can I get one of those modified wires? I can't find it anywhere. I'm having the same issue you were having.
What Magnavox Odyseey is this? (i mean like "200" or "500"...) sorry if i did any grammar error, i'm Italian...😅
It's the original from 1972. Not any of the other ones that came out after the first one.
