- What I changed:
- Blood splatters
- Afton is screaming instead of silently trying to hide his pain
- He doesn't reach for the Spring Bonnie head himself. Instead, Freddy puts it on him while he's suffering
- No "I always come back" line. Although it was fun to hear, it doesn't really fit in the scene
Overall I tried to make him look more in pain and pathetic, instead of the movie version where he doesn't really seem to be suffering or even care that he's dying.

The idea that Freddy put the mask on William Afton seems less forced than the scene that ended up in theaters. It also shows Freddy has been waiting for this for a long time.
And it goes along with the game's lore too, with them stuffing their victims into animatronic suits.

Just the blood part, but I don't think William screamed in the games, especially because the springlocks crushed his lungs, making him have trouble breathing, like in the movie.

I love the original scene but touches like Freddy putting on the head and making him seem like he’s in more pain is a welcomed change.
Technically in the movie it’s done right, when you are being stabbed usually the air is pushed out the lungs. Unless it’s a stabbing in the legs.

I always hated the idea that he put the mask on himself because the mask can also fail leading to a more painful death than what he could have had but I guess the logical explanation is that he knew that if he were going to take over his body once again he would need the mask.
apparently this is foreshadowing, since he knows that if he dies inside the suit his soul will be trapped there, there was no escape so he choose to become one with the suit, that's why H e A l w a y s C o m e B a c k

but he knows that once he dies he will still be "alive" in the suit
so he puts the mask on probably because he already knew he won't make it out of the suit and just to make sure he possesses the suit once he dies, hence his "i always come back"
Well there is no way of surviving this so wearing mask was a way to a less painful and more fast dead

Tbh, I like the original more. I liked the fact that William was so sadistic that he hides his pain, so that the animatronics don't get the satisfaction that their killer is in pain. I also like the fact that he said "I always come back" because he knew he would return, and placed the head on himself to become one with the suit and posses it when he dies. This one is faithful to the games, but Idk why William wouldn't know that he would posses since he knows that dead people's souls can posses the animatronics in the movie, considering that he tricked the kids into thinking he was their friend and getting them to do his dirty work. I like this for being faithful, but I like the one we got better tbh.

The point is that Willian in the game appears to have "expression", he is not expressionless, I think it's a cliché that the "bad guy" has no expression

Thank you! The origional is better. Him putting on the mask shows his personality and train of thought. The game version was afraid because he was terrified of death and also the entire suit went off at once, so it was sudden and unexpected. The book version he died quickly cuz the head set off first. Movie version? The springlocks were still going off until the end of the movie, slowly and gradually. Its a cool difference and I like that he accepted it to show he hasn't lost yet.
I feel like the reason to why it's not faithful is pretty simple, they are in completely different contexts, making the death more faithful only works as a cool nod and even then, the movie was very faithful
I think it makes sense for him not to scream.
In one of F.N.A.F.3’s training tapes, Phone Guy says to remain calm if you get spring locked, and go to a safe room (something like that), so Aubergine Shaggy being calm.

the movie scene paints him as a man insane enough that he doesn't mind having to go down this way, and even accepting it, knowing he'll return.
This is just making it needlessly violent, because gore fans are just not right in the head

It’s actually much more realistic that you don’t scream when being stabbed, especially in the stomach or back.
As Christopher Lee once said, a stab like that knocks all the air out of your lungs, so you can’t scream, just gasp. The original scene is more realistic that way.
That said, I do like Freddy putting the mask on instead of William putting it on himself.
Doesn’t really explain how he was able to etch out an “I always come back” comment in the movie, that meant he could still make noise even when being stabbed. So honestly, the screaming works and doesn’t make anything sound much worse.
@@Tripixiumhis "i always come back" sounded kinda deflated which makes sense if your lungs got stabbed while trying to speak. Screaming on the other hand is a MUCH harder task.

Nobody plays games or watches movies like this for realism, if this movie was rated R we could've seen what happened to Afton in all its brutal glory, instead of the watered down SNL skit that was the scene in the movie

In theory, Afton wouldn't be able to scream because, according to the Silver Eyes, most springlock deaths are caused from drowning in your own blood (interior damage to the lungs lets blood seep in, making it unable to scream) and the first pierce seemed to be around the ribcage, so it makes sense he couldn't scream. Even then, great recreation! I agree with the "I always come back" line. I think he should have said something like "I will come back. I always come back!" in the mid credits scene or smth, but idk.
That first stab seems to still be below the rib, like somewhere in the large intestines. Though even if it was in the lungs those first 2 screams should've still been possible, but afterwards the gasping and quick blehs make sense due to it starting to fill up

Honestly, I don't think it needed to be more gore-filled to be more effective. Here's my own rendition.
_- More realistic sounds. The springlocks aren't just silly rods that stick into you, it's the entire suit turning back into animatronic mode and crushing you on the inside. We'd need ribs snapping, other metal parts popping and clicking back into place with no regard for William, as he's shaking uncontrollably no matter how hard he tries to avoid it. You can hear his pained moans, pathetic whimpers and teethed breathing as he stumbles to try and keep his balance._
_- Make William's transformation into Spingtrap more impactful. He holds the suit's head high above him, chuckling to himself and exclaiming "No... I will ALWAYS come back!" before forcing the head on. Instantly it snaps shut on his head and destroys his throat, reducing his voice to gurgling as he is reborn as Springtrap._
Sound makes up 50% of a movie's experience, they don't need to _show_ the brutality, they just need to imply it better
The original suits his character more personally I think but this was really nice to watch since it’s more faithful to how terrified he was in the games
William Afton was never exactly terrified of the spring lock. Sure he was terrified of the spirits, but for good reason. William Afton just has dealt with springlocks before (which is confirmed in the books) so he doesn’t scream at all.
I really like this, it's very realistic with him not being able to move his arms and the blood. The only thing I wouldn't change would be the loud screaming; I think it'll be good to have it at the start, but after more springlocks go off, the wincing is better

Well, he knew if he would put mask on, his soul will stuck in the suit, making him a combination of a human and a machine

Regains his waist but sacrifices an arm and a larger forehead when he enters the ScrapTrap suit. His corpse is still alive, he hasn't died.
I also thought that in reality he should spit blood, also the way Freddy puts his mask and it doesn't even look out of place or weird, was so impressive, great edit fr :D

While I get wanting to make him scream more, having Freddy put on the Spring Bonnie head ruins the point; He is embracing death in the original scene. William has always wanted to BE Spring Bonnie. He sees Springtrap as being better than being Will, at least in the novel continuity. In his mind, getting springlocked isn't a bad thing, which is why he finishes the job by putting the mask on, he's taunting the animatronics, because he knows it isn't the end for him. In his own twisted mind, this is a victory for him.
This is better than him saying I always come back.
In the games that line made sense, since no matter how hard the company tried to bury him in rumour, he'd always return, even in death, even from hell.
In the movie it just sounds like a shitty sequal tease.
10000% better. It gave a sense of satisfaction rather than disappointment.
Personally, I like the original where Afton put the mask on himself since it showed (or at least I saw it as) that he had become so engulfed in this character he had made/ played that was willing to embrace his fate to die/ become one with it. And also he was probably fairly confident that he wouldn't fully die since the kid's souls were still there in the suits.
but I like this rendition as well, really well done!

I'm still curious tho did the mask even have springlocks on the inside or not? At least it doesn't seem to me, maybe it's just the spring bonnies eyes and that robot voice speaker (I don't even know how this worked lol)
It makes more sense that he put the whole suit on laughing that he thinks he could trick the others but then the ceiling drips and his sweat from frantically putting it on, just kills him as he gets crushed from head to toe

I loved the detail that Freddy put the mask to William Afton, because this remains me that it is a trap for William.
Now the name "Springtrap" has more sense in this version

The "last effort" with him in the back room with golden freddy spirit would have been a nice place to put "I always come back" before the credits rolled
It made no sense to me why he put the mask himself
1. Freddy putting the mask himself is more fitting to have the honor of putting the last nail in his killer coffin himself
2. With the spring lock crushing his body I doubt he would be able to even lift his arm to put the mask himself
3. Why would he put the mask ? Think about imagine you are being stabbed from all angles except the head would you put a spike in your own head ?
Ps : probably the reason why they didn’t do this because the Freddy animatronic couldn’t grab the mask 😅
I think that it'd be even better if the animatronics changed into the kids' souls (like once with foxy). Also, it would more game accurate.
I understood that the fact that he put on the Springbonnie head while saying that he always comes back was because he knows that his soul is going to be trapped, or to make fun of the children how in the Fnaf 3 minigame, only there he does it before the springlocks fail, so anyway, I love your version dude.
He's not screaming in the original because screaming would make it worse for him. He designed the suit, he knows how to survive a springlock failure.
I think the unrealistic part is the blood spewing out. The springlocks wouldve acted like a plug preventing any blood from coming out.
This really shows that PG13 rating wasn't the problem with the original scene, but the directing was

The amount of screaming I feel is a little overdone, but Freddy putting the mask on William I really like. The springlock scene was always meant to be a moment that brought William down, not so much as a moment like in the movie where after a bit he becomes accepting towards it, and VOLUNTARILY puts the mask on as a way of ensuring that he will live as springtrap. The idea that the mask would be put on involuntarily, makes the idea of the scene so much better.
Also, the added-in blood was perfect, also makes the scene so much better as it's not crazily overdone, yet nit underdone like in the movie. (I understand they had to keep it PG13)

It would've felt less awkward if it had gone down like this. Also, Will saying his catchphrase during this scene was a misplaced fan service moment and I'm going to die on this hill. The "I always come back" line should've been saved for the sequel.
There should've been an after credit scene where it shows Afton sitting against a wall with the eyes not glowing, it slowly zooms into his head and after it stops zooming in his eyes would start glowing and then cut to black, with a rough crackly voice saying the catchphrase
@@Sundowner13 both of these takes are still trash. He will die, and come back, just like the kids, that's one on the board. How could he know that after dying once, when he dies again, he'll come back again? It's much better suited for a third or fourth movie.

That remake of that scene is freaking AWESOME and it fits so PERFECT too why did Universal Studios fail to take that type of acting? You know... In the end of the movie where William Afton getting spring-locked THAT type of acting would have been so much better instead of William Afton saying "I always come back" like he did in the movie. The Freddy mask part is amazing

I always wanted to see one of the animatronics, particularly Golden Freddy, place the head onto William as one last act of punishment rather than him doing it to himself for no reason...... (don't try pulling a whole "he's planning on coming back" argument on me, guys. It should make sense for an audience who isn't already a fan of the series, too.)

I think it would've been better if all the springlocks failed at once, like in FNAF 3. It would have made the moment better, more canon, and also a bit more gory (which might explain why they didn't do it, to keep the rating down)
In my opinion, it would be much cooler if animatronics went into their "black eyes" mode, and Freddy played his signature melody

Freddy putting the mask on is a huge way to change the scene for the better. I still think his acting for the pain and such was already great for it regardless. The "I always come back" should have been a post-credits thing.
Has anyone questioned why the suit even has spring locks? From what’s shown, there isn’t even an Endo skeleton in the suit. All the spring locks do is kill people.
The reason why he didnt scream in the movies is becuase that was the smartest thing to do. Screaming could cause yohr neck to set off the springlocks around that area and make it even worse.
I dont care what anybody says but this is more realistic the area that the springlocks puncture is his stomach and NOT His vocal chords and lungs, if it were his lungs and chords itll have to be higher up

Blook splatters would of seriously made the original so much better. It's a shame they done it for a younger audience but it was still a fun movie to watch.
