There are many reasons why intelligent people might prefer to be alone. In this video, I discuss one of the most important ones: the silence code.
The silence code is a term that was coined by researcher Jonathan Haidt. It refers to the idea that intelligent people are more likely to appreciate and seek out silence because it allows them to think deeply and focus on their own thoughts.

Intelligent people are often lonely because not everyone can relate at their level.
Having Autism and depression at the same time is really difficult because with the intelligence can make you feel more like different. I had to adapt myself to be comfortable with being Alone. Someday I will have my own family and settle down life.
I know how you feel, been in that spot in 2020/2021.
I hope you going in the good direction and doing well.
I feel as if I'm suffocating when I am amongst others. I absolutely NEED solitude. However, I don't do quantity but quality 🎁 I subscribed. I'm guilt free with the way I was created...now💝
This video was truly illuminating. Throughout my life I have been told by several people that I am very intelligent, but watching videos like this confirms that. I have always had a strong preference for solitude, I never had true friends and my romantic history is a complete mess I only want to forget. I have been diagonsed with autism, lately I found out that I was raised by a narcissistic mother and that I have a dismissive avoidant attachment style. But watching videos about psychology that point out all that crap just make me feel depressed. On the contrary, when I realize that what just happens is that I possess the traits of a very intelligent individual, that makes me extremely happy and fulfilled. I am confident when I am alone, I don't hate anybody but I want people at an arm's length. I live in my mind, to me happiness equals the addition of three things: solitude, silence and serenity. Contemplate, study, read and write, these are the activities that make me tick, and of course, I hate crowds and I don't go out unless I have a scheduled appointment.
