I started when I was a child. I'm 35. Tried to convince an ex NASA professor to switch from his formal verification to synthesis so we all can stop using compilers anymore. You know more about what I was trying to convince him than he does, now. That's how much he listened to me.
It's not about the skill, it's about the networking and relationships you've got So many great programmers out there that do coding day and night and really enjoy it and would easily beat the performance of programmers in big companies, yet they don't get the job 'cause they either don't value themselves enough (so why would anybody else bother give them value) or they haven't built the connections yet It's tough man
@@abujessica Completely agree, networking is important. But building skills is important too! And its fun to learn different things and improve, at least sometimes haha
