I know a ton of folks have said it already but for sharpie I find Dry Erase marker to be super easy to get it off 90% of the time. For cleaning the pins I use 90% Isopropyl and a 1up card most of the time. If they are very dinghy I will use Brite Boy just like you did. Well played dude! Now enjoy some Strider! 🍻
Yeah I’m gonna try a different brand of dry erase markers than I have. I tried that in the past and it didn’t do much. Sounds like some science needs doing! 😂🤣 I have saved a couple with Brite Boy, I do the same if I can. There was one the other day that I clean, it looked like someone must have taken out to play in their yard. Those pins were nasty!
@@vuebelhardt1985 it must be the brand of dry erase markers I have that doesn’t do a good job of that. I have tried that in the past but didn’t notice a good result. I’ll have to do some shopping and get some different ones and try it again. Thanks for watching and for the conversation!
if i had to guess the numbers might’ve been referencing a rental number or something, maybe the old sticker adhesive was a sticker for the store. just a guess.
never played strider on the nes but i did play it on the arcade when i was young, now i have it on my street fighter arcade1up cabinet. super fun game, definitely check out the arcade version if you can, looks better than the nes version.
I came here to say the exact same thing the other person just mentioned in the comment section. We tend to use dry erase marker over sharpie cuz it takes it off really nice. I'm shocked how well that came off on the grooves and how much harder it was on the texture part of the cart. I'm wondering if the residue is scuffing from the Magic eraser? Either way, it looks much better than it did and I don't blame you for taking the card apart to clean the board.
It’s crazy I’ve heard that and tried it but I didn’t see it do anything. It has to be the brand of dry erase marker I have, I think they are cheapies, so I’ll get some other ones and try that! Yeah that darn texture was a pain in the butt! I pulled one apart recently and it was full of gunk across the pins. I’m sure that would have caused havoc on the console so good thing I did. 🤮
i saw some guy using something called rain x water repellent might be worth looking into for removing ink. i hate to see magic eraser used, last resort only
@@RetrocartCollector no probs bro. great channel I loved watching extreme sticker removal you work hard. here's the vid I found it ua-cam.com/video/iEzoPByfvQ0/v-deo.html keep up the good work
Sadly I won’t be there. My convention schedule is pretty limited currently. I’ll be at Arkansa Retro Fest down there and Fan Expo Edmonton up here, but that’s it for this year 😔 I’ll add Cleveland to my list for the future tho! 🤙

Use dry erase markers over any sharpie on your carts. It eats it away almost instantly. Wipe away and then use the alcohol to clean up after. 🤙
I was going to post the same thing. Dry erase markers do really well to remove marker off the case.

@@SpareChangeGamer I’m going to try a different brand than I have, mine hardly did anything when I tried so I’ll try that.
It looks pretty incredible!!
Thanks brother!

Took all kinds of notes 📝 while watching this. I usually just got extra hard on the alcohol 😆
😂 Careful on following my lead. I’m an amateur for sure! 😂🤣😂
I use rainx to remove marker just soak it and then wipe
Oh I have never tried that. I’ll have to give it a go, thanks for the suggestion!
Come off very easy with no hard scrubbing

I’m totally going to try that! I had never heard of that until recently so thanks for the suggestion as well.

All good! Bummer! But hope to run into you at something and meet you! Keep up the great videos!
I've never been to Cleveland, so it's got to be on my list to make it to that one now. Thanks! I hope to run into you when I can make it there!
Don’t show this to Gabbo and his NES hole 😂 all his carts are signed!
I’ll bring my scrub brush! 😂🤣😂
