guys, I'm from Ukraine. I've been listening to you almost from the very beginning. your creativity motivates you to live this life with the feeling of beauty that you give with your music. especially now, when my country is in critical trouble, you give hope for the future. thank you

That was incredible. Wow. And huge props to the sound engineers as well. Getting it to sound that clear, crisp, and natural while 3 people are jamming together, with piano, double bass, and drums, all of whom are modifying their instruments and using a wide range of techniques to produce atypical voicings (drum sticks; brushes; brushes reversed; percussion overlaid over drums; double bass slapped, bowed, and plucked; and piano is a beast to record in the first place, let alone when someone is modifying it to produce a staccato sound in the middle of a song 😅) So much care went into every aspect of it. I mean heck, every tom has a different mic, and there were 3 different mics on the double bass. No detail was spared consideration 😄 What was that black curved object over the piano? It has been over 10 years since I was last in the studio, and I have never seen one before. Also, the cinematography, the lighting, the editing, the colour balancing. It is so beautiful to look at, the colour palette matches the feel of the music wonderfully, the editing is spot on and so respectful of the musicians (you can spot a video editor that isn't a musician from miles away, they focus on the wrong details 😅). And it is so hard as an editor unless the camera people give you great footage to work with! And that crew was so in sync! With each other, and with the band. They were jamming too! I don't know any of you, but I am so happy you all produced this incredible work of art! Thank you!
I Also want to know what the black curved thing is. Is that some kind of mic that captured the pluck sound? Seems like it was only active for the range in the centre of the piano which is being cover by it...
It is a picture perfect beautiful day in Connecticut with the fall leaves in full effect . this is the perfect accompaniment to driving down the Merrit Parkway. Much Thanks!
Wonderful music, I am so grateful. And I associate to EST, Esbjörn Svennson Trio, and Avishai Cohen Trio. Great jazz playing in a trio is evidently not dead yet. New ways of handling this playing will always occur, as it does this time. GoGo Penguin has the solution. Playing in a jazz trio will develope, over and over.
I was initially distraught that Rob split from you guys... but goddamn Jon is an amazing drummer, he plays off you guys almost constantly, such cool musical drumming.
The song 'Everything will be ok' got me through a very hard time of doubts in my career. I can now say that everything is ok. I look forward to seeing them live.
The pianist (Chris Illingworth) is astounding at playing these complex patterns/rhythms that seem deceivingly simple because other bands would just use a synth sequencer for the repeating rhythm melody. Super evident on the track "You’re Stronger Than You Think ". Not many pianists are so at ease while flowing over complicated parts, but Chris is up there with Alexandra Stréliski and Tomir Śpiołek (of Immortal Onion). Of course the bassist (Nick Blacka) and drummer (Jon Scott) are incredible too. I love the choices that each of them make, and they've got such excellent feel.
Well too static harmonically for me and and too minimal regarding improvisation. But I'm going to hear them tomorrow night in Seattle 🤷 oh finally yeah some of this registers with me we'll see. Just a bit too predictable after a while. But I can see the appeal.
As a Sydneysider, might I recommend waking up to our very own Brekky Boy for a good Aussie breakfast ;) Sort of a cross between GoGo Penguin and Tigran Hamasyan (eg. their tunes Womp and Setsuko)

Hello from Wellington NZ, saw you in concert here a few months ago, awesome; thanks very much for the chance to see and hear some of these tracks again
This sounds amazing!!! A major shout-out to the monitoring engineer and mixing engineer on this. The musicians are locked in and the video team is not getting on the way. The arrangements are Stella and the mastering is well balance, round and full. HATS OFF - Love from Cape Town, South Africa ❤
I listened twice in arrow, in my morning, loving, praying dance contemplation. I am grateful for this music, it honors the beauty of life and human experiences from the shadow to the light. From the emotional wave until we ride in awareness… the past, the present and in the future in a drop… all in one moment of attention through our open heart! From beauty to truth...how good it is to be alive!
So incredibly grateful for the moment my cousin showed me Unspeakable World in 2018. You guys have been my favorite band ever since. It's absolutely mind blowing the way you guys tell a story and embark the listener on an incredible journey with every song without saying a single word, no one writes music the way you guys do and I'm so thankful to have found you.
Enjoying (and long-time fan) from Yellowknife Northwest Territories Canada. I’m always eager to share this music with others, and they Always respond with gratitude for being introduced to it. Thank You for creating it 🙏
Went to Toulouse in June to see them live for the first time.If you enjoy the music and the band, please look if they come near you, they are absolutely mind blowing live, live arrangements, playing with the audience, improviations and absolute mojo!!
blessed music, you don't know how much they helped me in a complicated moment in life, the algorithm has blessed me with this work of art that relaxes and calms, thank you for existing and making this blessed music.
For me, the greatest musician association after Esbjörn Svensson Trio - from them, because of them. Historic recording. You'll be in my life forever. Please come to Brazil again
Just discovered you guys whilst scrolling and watched this and am blown away. Love it. Have since shared it with several friends. You've got a new fan here. Bloody brilliant chaps.
Stumbled upon this, the GoGo Penguin name intrigued me. Hasn't been my genre, but wow it is now. Beautiful and incredible. I see a few people commenting mention other band names that I will go check out.
Whoever produced this recording is great at their job. Sound quality is better than the studio albums.
The upright bass sounds exceptionally FAT.
sounds like some very nice crispy analog compression
Must be the guys from NPR 🤔
Somebody did a great job for sure but it's also true that these guys are just great live. I went and saw them last year their execution is perfect.
1:03 using and AKG C414 for upright Bass pointing off axis. Good job?
It was 32 minutes of real pleasure!!!

You guys, Mammal Hands, and Portico Quartet are three of the most talented bands in the world.
I listen to you almost daily
FUCK YES. I agree!
Also, Hidden Orchestra, check them out if you don't know them yet
Noted. Give Ezra Collective a shot if you’re looking for something like these guys but more upbeat.
The legacy of Esbjorn Svensson is alive and well
Any of you guys listen to BADBADNOTGOOD as well? Those guys are also exceptionally talented

This should be the top comment... Not the one related to the Ukraine/NATO.. WTF people
I Also want to know what the black curved thing is. Is that some kind of mic that captured the pluck sound? Seems like it was only active for the range in the centre of the piano which is being cover by it...
It's also good to note that we can experience this completely for free!
I didn’t think music could still surprise me. This album is beyond. Well done!
The precision is mindblowing
Half an hour in space, floating weightless to this music. Thank you for this journey. Trio jazz at its best!
音が良すぎる…それぞれの楽器1つ1つの音が絡みあってゴーゴーペンギンの世界観を見事に作りあげてますね!
It is a picture perfect beautiful day in Connecticut with the fall leaves in full effect . this is the perfect accompaniment to driving down the Merrit Parkway. Much Thanks!
If I could play Bass like that I would choose to be in a band like that.

Your compositions are like a warm fire on a cold winter's night, filling me with a sense of comfort and security.
I could listen to this on repeat for days.
are this guys sent from heaven?
I was initially distraught that Rob split from you guys... but goddamn Jon is an amazing drummer, he plays off you guys almost constantly, such cool musical drumming.
Jon is a monster player. He definitely fits right in with the gang!
The song 'Everything will be ok' got me through a very hard time of doubts in my career. I can now say that everything is ok. I look forward to seeing them live.
If you can imagine, they are 10x more impactful live. I was probably the most at peace of any time in my life at that show.
Idk where I've been but I'm here now. Thank you.
Thank you gentlemen. I've now watched/listened to this 12 times or more. Great morning music. Fills me with motivation and joy. Don't ever stop!

hello, I saw you play live in Prague in November... it was an experience.. thank you for your wonderful music
The pinnacle of modern jazz. Hats off to these guys.
Well too static harmonically for me and and too minimal regarding improvisation. But I'm going to hear them tomorrow night in Seattle 🤷 oh finally yeah some of this registers with me we'll see. Just a bit too predictable after a while. But I can see the appeal.
Perhaps Phronesis is more like the Pinnacle of modern Jazz as you say.
