Nikki sure could spin a tale, and anyone could see she was manipulating Tess here. But she also made some good points, and she truly was laying her plight out for the first time, and she was right. It was so easy for all of them to scapegoat Nikki and Tess for everything and get off scot free. It was some long-needed depth to her character. Even though I didn't agree with every aspect of these storylines, it doesn't take away from the fact that there was some powerful writing in these storylines that lives on in my mind decades after it was done, and the actresses absolutely killed the lines.
I was so intrigued by these multiple personalities stories I did actual research on the phenomenon. It's called dissociative identity disorder (DID) and it's more frequent than i ever knew.
I miss one life to live I remember first watching when I was a kid and ended in my late teens and stop watching soaps since but if they would bring back one life to live and all my children I would watch again ❤
