I always loved it when Nikki popped out..it got more ridiculous as the years went by, however, I still enjoyed Erika. Awe, OLTL & our soaps at Christmas/Holidays were HOME. Lucky to have watched daytime at the tail end of the genre's heyday 1980's-early 2000's.
You're exactly right about one life to live and soap operas in general at the holidays. I can't picture my childhood without that being part of the holiday season. As much as watching the Grinch and a Christmas story and it's a wonderful life etc lol. Is watching One Life to live general hospital Young and the restless Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday episodes which were always so awesome. Nothing like a Buchanan Christmas episode of One Life to live. I get so nostalgic when I watch this stuff it makes me want it to be Christmas all year long
@3:54, bless Clint's heart because it's in the right place, but I laughed out loud at Nikki's statement. 😂🤣 Nikki didn't mean to be funny, but it was just the way she delivered the line.
Niki was HILARIOUS! They made her a funnier character as the show went along. I've seen old footage of Niki and she wasn't nearly as outrageous as they made her during this period. Erika Slezak definitely earned her paycheck playing all of those personalities; especially when she had to switch back-and-forth between them.
@@michaeljohnson5255 not at all their's no "original" personality in DID but their are hosts that are out a lot can be one or a few usually people like certain ones more than the others
Bree Williamson did an amazing job playing her alters as well! She was my favorite on the show Jessica/tess and nash were always my favorite characters. Also tea and todd/victor Nash and Jessica/tess had a beautiful love together Antonio should have just left Jessica because it was only a matter of time before jess would fall for nash too. Because what tess feels Jessica will also feel no matter how much she fights it. Nash and Jessica belonged together I loved them more than Antonio with Jess anthonio was just annoying as hell always trying to keep control of jess and ignoring that tess is just as real as Jessica! he couldn't accept that tess was with nash and they had a relationship but if Jess is out they can't be together I understand nash loved tess but he didn't want Jess to get better because that means tess can't be with him. She's an alter he should have let Jess get better instead of making her worse. Don't get me wrong I loved nash but he wanted Jess to stay sick so that he could be with an alter he wasn't right for that. He wasn't right In the head either probably what made them perfect for each other.
There are occasionally mild December's in suburban Philly (that's where the show took place, and where I grew up too) I believe December 2005 was fairly mild.
But I also must throw in my opinion that Nash is one of the worst characters ever on this show. When he crashed through that skylight I was actually happy lol. Not that I would ever wish that kind of death on anybody, but it's a soap opera character so we know it's not real. I don't ever wish harm on anyone but on this show I just wanted him off the show
I loved when Jessica played Tess that was the best scenes

I think the reason why Niki became more and more outrageous was because she was getting sick of cleaning up after Viki’s messes over the years. 😂
As Erika got older the antics had to get crazier to make the storyline more interesting. But Erika was a professional and pulled it off brilliantly.
I love Nikki smith.
Nikki Told Jessica She talks too much...lol lol
I love Nikki!
She was a fiesty one
Nikki is the only one on this show with a personality.
What year is this piece from...?
If it’s Christmas in Pennsylvania, why is there green foliage outside?

Cause this is actually New York. And a set.
How did Nikki show up here?
Vicki had Dorian bring her out, because Tess said she would only talk to nikki about her secret.
who played Dr. Fox does anyone remember thank you

Jessica and Antonio were boring. I loved Nash and Tess, then Nash and Jessica(after integration).

Why?
And I wanted Jared off the show and i had to wait a year later for that to happen. Well we both got what we wanted during that time
