- Today I'm trying out a varient of a Razelvarg team for hydra that brings in Varl for even more damage in Raid: Shadow Legends!

I tried this team last week and came to the same conclusion that if you want to auto it you need that safety net of a revive. Running ukko in a cursed set to try and increase Hex uptime upped my damage
If I recall correctly, there are only 2 champs in the game with Dec ATK/Weaken on one AoE ability. The other is Gnut, so Varl is in some very rare air when it comes to his kit. Pairs VERY well with Uugo and Whisper if anyone needs an easy to build top tier dmg dealer.
I love whisper but she needs a decreased defense to pair with her

Hey Nubkeks. I'm building Varl for this same exact team. In the meanwhile I'm running Ukko and Genzin instead of Lydia. I don't have Weaken, But Genzin is a beast with the damage, also thanks to the constant turn meter fill he gets.
Can Morrigaine substitute for Razzlevarg? My current speed solution is to put Raglin in the lead with Shamael boosting her.
Does this work with Gomlock? I may have him soon (like 3 months or so)
Is varl worth the booking for hydra? I do max 93kk on a brutal key with artak and husk as main DD’s
I think optimizer doesnt show empowered champs, so it is likely that you see these crazy stats for +4 guys
In your original team I swapped Mithrala with Teela (in relentless) and upped the damage a lot. I'm sure you could do even better than I did, you should try it.

I know this is a month ago, but any reason you went with Helmsmasher? HH Optimizer version had Warmaster.
Warmaster is better on supports, and half nukers.. but for full nuker HelmSmasher benefit more.

Wukong is more consistent with block debuff than Uugo since he can strip and place it through poison cloud
I did 450 mil on hard last week with cardiel, lanakis, mithrala, maulie, lydia and turvold, 220+ mil from turvold 100 mil from mithrala (probably most of it from hex), and they went almost all the way to the turn limit, this week i didnt had as good of a run and only did 390 lol. Seems a lot more consistent for me.
Plarium needs to allow us to select targets for single target skills in the presets, at least on skills that target allies. This would make so many more teams possible to auto!
I really liked the way it worked in Awaken Chaos Era, where you could prioritize the the targeting in boss battles. Yes, Raid needs a way to do this. Focusing Gnut on bosses instead of getting distracted by minions would be nice.

Nekmo would be an excellent sub for the team to work well but you will do less dmg that with the rabbit.
is there any purpose to getting that much damage on Hydra? if top chest just requires 20mil ... is there something I'm missing? (it's not like Hydra is fun to play)

It amazes me how many people underestimate Varl
To be fair, not that many people have him. I've been playing for over a year and a half, and I'm just getting him this rotation if I'm lucky with secret rooms.
in my case is not that i understimate varl, is that my turvold hits a decapitated mischief or fear head for over 4mil with 1 a3, 400k+ each hits of his a1 and no afinity issue xD.

Hi Nubs, a little off topic. If you are thinking of branching out in the games you cover, Watcher of Realms is really fun and seems for generous than plarium. I've always enjoyed your raid videos and would instantly sub if you started a WOR channel.

man i was really hoping. i built varl for the arena and he underperformed for me so i was looking for another place to use him. at least i didn't book him yet. guess he stays in the vault.
I've seen Varl do 140 million dmg on hard. Nub was saying this team comp wasn't as effective as his usual team but it was more a flaw in the team comp, than a flaw with Varl. Varl is an excellent dmg dealer in hydra - you just need a team that supports him (just like any dmg dealer).
We call that team the Razelvarl team
