The builder should be monitoring you're paying that person a matter of fact they're not a pro Blair family continue being blessed.
You are talking facts. You have to be there or hire a caretaker. I am here for my building but I still have someone staying on my property. The problem is finding a good caretaker.❤
Wish we had gotten a chance to connect. Sounds like you all have had a similar experience to what we had. It's a terrible experience and feeling to build so far away and invest so much and not have it be what you hoped for. You don't know anyone besides the builder and you're counting on them to do the right thing. I remember being scared to death. On the verge of giving up. If I can offer any advice...cut your loses and find someone else to complete the job. We interviewed several contractors and decided on one. By the grace of God things worked out. Praying that things work out and you get exactly what you paid and hoped for.

I totally agree. You need to operate within a community outside the states, especially in Africa. It won’t work trying to bring individualism there. Other nations operate in community, that’s why they thrive wherever they go. With people bringing their U.S mentality, they might as well stay in the states!
@@AllDayEloquence yep but it's seems so hard for people to shake that mentality. Also people are trying to live and be what they weren't in the States and that's a problem within itself. Instead of being humble and valuing the freedom and comforts of living.

My suggestion is to save up the sum of money required to finish the house and try to be there for about 2 months . When building in West Africa the devil is in the details as they say!! The workers who are building by and large do not live in this kind of house and have no clue about a lot of things you might want e.g. the seat in the shower which are common place in the US . Also they have very low standards when it comes to finishing unless you are lucky .My sister jokes that its rare to see a level on a Ghanaian building site hence the lack of straight lines !!
