You got this girl...I had the same procedure done. I didn't find out I had them until I miscarried. Found the info out in Jan of 2012 had the procedure in February of 2012. They only could remove some but the biggest one was left. So they wouldn't take the majority of my unterus leaving me barren. By mid 2013 I was pregnant again welcomed my first son in 2014. Pregnant again three more times had my youngest in 2019 ,even with the biggest fibroid still left. Sharing my story to let you know there is hope. Prayer is powerful faith even more powerful! Love and hugs to you girl!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜
You can actually shrink them with diet. It will take some time but it's possible. Look up what Chelsea eats on UA-cam her fibroid was pushing her intestines and they shrunk significantly with diet.
@@ReturnJaguar it was attached to my wall to the point they would have had to take half my unterus. When I carry the doctors monitor the growth of the fibroid and baby. As they share that space and the hormones are what feed its growth. Normally it has grown to no more than 10cm. Usually goes down some after delivery to about 8-7cm. I'm debating on one more baby... hoping for that girl after these rough boys. After which I'm considering allowing them to just take it.
Your periods will be so much easier and LIGHTER, pain free and shorter!!!! Mine went from 7-10 heavy heavy days to 2-3 very light days and it’s been 2 yrs. I also stopped using commercial feminine products. I try to use more natural things. Also, it’s hard but work on diet changes and cut out things high in soy and foods high in estrogen. Good luck to everyone on this journey.
I just had the same surgery done yesterday and currently waiting to be discharged surgery went well so glad I still have my uterus as I plan to have children and these fibroids were blocking my tubes! I felt good after surgery and within a couple hours I was up and moving in a bit sore and currently waiting to be discharged I went in to remove 3 and end up removing 13! I thank GOD for getting me thru this surgery! Can’t believe I had 13 inside me …thanks for the video!
I had the same surgery in May 2022 so I feel your pain. That gas pain was NO JOKE! i had 4 fibroids removed & the largest one made my uterus the size it would be if i were 14 weeks pregnant 😳 Praying for your speedy recovery & that the fibroids never return 🫶🏾
Hi, I’m having this same surgery scheduled next month. Can you please share details if the surgery was successful? How was your period after, and your abdomen size, did it shrink the size of it? I was told my uterus is the size of a 17 wk pregnancy, so I sympathize. 😢
You are a gorgeous woman and you married a gem...YOU GO GIRL!!! Thank you for this vid. It's my turn so I hope I can handle it 😬. Fibroids are a bit smaller but I'm nervous 😬. This video is so cool. You're putting the rest of us at ease.
I’m so happy for you that you got it done and over with❤!! I had this exact surgery in June 2022 and was pregnant 3 months later 🙏🏽. The only difference with my surgery was it was laparoscopic and I also had the 4 key hole incisions in my belly and a small bikini cut because my fibroid was so large it was hard to fully remove from the key holes so walking was hard for me for a few weeks. Once your not depending on the meds so much you’ll notice your healing will speed up.I wish y’all all the best just take care of yourself and heal.
I had an abdominal myomectomy. I had 4 large fibroids which my doctor and techs were very surprised that my stomach didn't stick out and still remained flat. They said I had the uterus of a woman who appeared to be 4 mos pregnant. After the surgery my doctor told me I had 17 fibroids total and she was not sure how, cause physically she couldn't tell and my symptoms were not severe. I honestly just had the surgery so I can later have children. I only learned about my fibroids early on from donating my eggs. It is very important for you to stay on top of your health. Prayers for your recovery!
This is such a personal journey, so thank you for sharing. I went through the same journey with my cycles for yearssss….around age 40 my doctor said it was time for me to get relief from all the pain. I had clusters of fibroids and the largest was a little bugger than a grapefruit 🥺. My surgery was a partial hysterectomy though, but keep in mind I wasn’t having ANYMORE children. I had my tubes tied at 28. I know that’s young but after my second child I was done. My kids are 9 years apart and I was scared with my luck I’d be 50 with a newborn 🤦🏽♀️. You are going to feel SO much better after you heal. I’m sending you and your hubby lots of love, prayers and positive energy on your journey to parenthood…..thanks again for sharing. There’s alot of women struggling with this same issue and what you share can encourage them to be proactive in getting relief. 🫶🏼
I'm so happy your surgery went well. Please continue to give yourself some grace during your healing process. Thank you Slim for taking such great care of Jaz.
Can’t wait til I find my wife. That’s real love right there. God bless you Luv. Slim, hats off to you King for holding it all down as a real man throughout all the rough times, the house, the cars, the dog, health issues the Goddess is experiencing, May God show you gyz favor, peace and abundance. 🙏🏾🤘🏾💐💐💐
Prayed for you and God answered. 2014 had my surgery and super happy I did. My cycle was crazy and I was sooo bloated. At least 6 months pregnant 🤦🏾♀️ I did not know what to expect for the surgery but I was so happy it was thru the navel and not an ugly scar. I have a super high tolerance for pain so I only took the meds for 2 days. I did not like how it made me feel. But my cycle is no longer a crime scene. God is good. Prayers to you and your journey going forward 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Glad your surgery was successful! You had a good team because normally they say large fibroids can’t be removed laparoscopically. Thank you for sharing!
I’m so happy that you got the surgery and you’re on the road to recovery. It’s so challenging being a woman at times. Get some rest and feel better. Happy New Year to you all.
Just came from the Luv and Slim video you uploaded but you know I had to come straight here to watch this one. I’m so happy you’re recovering well and you have Slim around to spoil you make sure you’re comfy and good.
Aww sad to see your scars but glad you’re not in a lot of pain I had a laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and I was so sore but I felt okay but you still have to take it easy even if you feel okay. Wishing you a peaceful and healing recovery ❤️🩹
Glad you had a successful surgery and praying for a speedy recovery. I too had fibroids along with ovarian cyst and endometriosis. My monthly cycle was horrible. I would pass clots the size of my fists every month on my cycle. They were so bad that I would have to be on bed rest during that time of month. I couldn’t hold water down without it coming back up. My fibroids were so big my doctor thought I was pregnant because my uterus was the size of a 8 month pregnancy. Often he would have to do blood work just to make sure I wasn’t. So glad you’re bringing awareness to this. Many women go through the pain thinking it’s normal or their cycle has gotten worse because they’ve gotten older and that’s not the case. I too encourage everyone to stay on top of their yearly checkups.
This popped up on my for you page. I'm in tears. Luv all of the love and support.. My sisters and my mother and two of my cousins have had this surgery. Glad they found them when they did. There should be a support group to talk about fibroid. If anyone knows of a support group please 🙏 let me know. The horror stories of damn near bleeding to death are REAL. MY GOD. Glad you were brave enough to share. It's hard. Soo hard If you know you know.
Thank you for sharing your journey. I have my surgery scheduled in 3 weeks so it was comforting to see the process through another woman's experience. I pray for a speedy recovery for you and God's blessings to you and your husband on your baby journey.
Thank you for sharing your story! I had six surgeries due to endometriosis an pcos so I felt you when you were talking about the gas pain. I’m so glad your surgery went well ❤️
Hi Jasmine. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. My sister just did her surgery here in Jamaica BUT she got cut. She's older so they had to keep her for 3 days. Both you and my sister's journey with fibroids has alerted me to do my check-ups as well. I appreciate you for sharing this. Bless you.
Glad that you are healing on schedule after a successful surgery. I had a total hysterectomy in 2017 via minimally invasive surgery. 5 small incisions. I felt blessed. But that gas was like a machete all up in my shoulder blades, had me in tears! That repositioning of interal organs was no joke! I described it to my surgeon as a construction crew doing a demolition project in there! I was slow moving for about 2-3 weeks, but pain with meds was manageable. Its truly going to be a Happy New Year for you!
That God you got a successful surgery may the good lord keep guiding you and keep protecting you and your home. In his own time I pray your family will grow. Keep praying. Keep loving God and keep being healthy. I am rooting for you now and always love you to the moon and back.
Peppermint or ginger tea will help you with the gas, at least one cup a day but two could be better. Glad it went well, glad you’re recovering, glad you have Cory, all praise to God 🙏🏾♥️
Praying God grant you a speedy recovery and on to your journey of becoming parents. Thank God for Slim... y'all are truly made for each other. Thank you both for sharing your journey.
I'm the whole feeling. I had my first myomectomy 8 years ago, I had 32 fibroids. I was in the hospital for 1 week, and they made me poop before I could leave the hospital. I hope and pray this opens the door for you and your husband to have a family. God bless you in your healing journey
Glad that ur surgery was successful and I am still praying 🙏 for a speedy recovery. Don't overdue it get ur rest. I know Cory was going to take good care of u. Thank u for sharing the update with us" on ur surgery. Every day u will get stronger and stronger..
Hello Jasmine! Praise the Lord. That you’re OK and you had those fibroids removed. I went through that praise God the Lord stop my cycle before I had to have surgery. Hold a small pillow on your stomach to help your cough. May the Lord continue to give you a speedy recovery.❤
Thank you so much for sharing this!! I’m having my surgery in January and this made me feel so much better about it. I’ve been feeling scared and nervous about it but I’m so glad you felt better within a week.
Happy everything went well. All your prayers were heard. God took control and hubby, aka best nurse. Great job. I will continue to pray God fixed what the issue was, and you are delivered. Claiming baby announcement soon to follow for you both ❤️ ❤️
I so admire you for sharing your experience. And to see the love and support from your hubby! Praying for you!!! You will have a speedy recovery in Jesus Name ❤
Had the procedure done in June 2015. Best thing I could have done. Stayed in the hospital for 2 days. Had 17 fibroids. God bless on your recovery. I had to be cut bikini style.
So glad your surgery went well. I have had both versions of the fibroid surgery 10 years apart. Surprisingly, the 1st myomectomy I had was the C-section cut and I think my recovery felt better. But I was 10 years younger so I can understand why. The second time I had the laparoscopic version and I had a time. I was in surgery for about 7 hours. I went in to the hospital it was dark, left when it was almost dark again. I barely could turn myself over in the bed. I was on the table so long, my backside was numb for a few days. I think my shoulder dropped at one point during surgery because it was sore for a week. The placement of one of my fibroids required me to be tilted during surgery. One of my incisions leaked for over a week because I didn't realize I was leaning on it at times. I pulled skin off with the tape trying to keep it covered. But I was only off work for a month as opposed to 3 months. It was a shorter recovery, but a tougher one. I just think the 10 years had a lot to do with it. It feels good to hear other peoples experience. Every surgery is different and every person's experience is going to be vastly different.
So glad your surgery went well. Thank you for sharing your story. Had my surgery back in 2016 a partial hysterectomy(9 fibroids). The pain was omg 😩😩, but I wasn't able to have the procedure you had. I had to get the bikini cut. Yesss I remember all that(pain, nausea, couldn't cough, no moving, constipation). So glad the pain eased up and you feel good. Take your time, don't rush and much rest! You look beautiful ❤️
So glad you are doing well you look great! Continue to rest and I’m sure you will be back on the move in no time and shout out to Corey for taking such good care of you😮❤😊
Glad everything went well. I meant to tell you on the Luv and Slim video getting your tonsils taken out hurts. Got mine taken out at age 16 along with my adenoids so painful.
Glad surgery went well for you. I had mine in September last year but I was cut from naval to my bikini line. I was hoping for laparoscopic but my uterus was too big and the fibroids were huge. Best decision ever! I got a total hysterectomy because I wasn’t having any more kids. I wish you the best on your journey!
Good to know that everything went well now I am praying for the babies to come it going to happen now that this is behind you just start doing a detox of cleaning your body and lay off drinking both of you guys just start eating healthy and exercising and watch when you least expect it you gonna be pregnant and you’re gonna give birth to some of the most beautiful babies God already have a plan for you all praying for you can’t wait blessings Happy New Year’s to you both 🫶🏽🎈🎊🎈🎊
Wow! I’m literally going thru everything you’re explaining 😩. I had the UFE, because i have 16 fibroids and was not a good candidate for Myectomy. I ended up in the emergency because i was blacking out due to pain, all my vitals were thru the roof. I had to be on fentanyl and morphine IV for days. 1 week post procedure and the PRESSURE 😫😫😫😫. I need this to be over. My mom said i shoulda just had a hysterectomy
🙏 for a great recovery. Don't worry, God has your back. SECONDLY SLIM is a GREAT HUSBAND and will take care of you . Much love for you. GOD BLESS YOU 🙌.
Hey Jas, glad you are doing much better, I had this same surgery back in 2005, all went well. I remember having the nosyia and my doctor told me to cut the pain pill in half, instead of taking a whole one, to cut down on the nosyia, and it worked. So you might want to ask your doctor about it. Best of luck luv.
Praying for your speedy recovery sweetheart as I told you your channel with your husband. That I know this all to well. I'm happy that you have came through as I know you would God as you
So happy your surgery experience and recovery went well ! God is good ! Mine was a bit different but I think that's because we're in different countries and my surgery was the one where they cut you like a C Section.
Thank you for being transparent about something so personal! This is something so prevalent in the African American genes and some suffer in silence. Praise God you had a successful surgery and full recovery! This made me emotional to see you go through this as this makes year 7 that I had a lapro hysterectomy (21+ fibroids I had they couldn't even get pics of them all.) at 35 years old and its a lot but stress relief that you feel after the surgery is like non other. All the poking and probing that you go through prior is a lot mentally and emotionally as well. I pray that this is the first and last surgery for you and babies will be easy to have after this! God is will and did! Love you Jaz! 🙌🏾✨🖤💫💕
Glad you are doing well. I had the same surgery when I turned 40. Suffered with long painful menstrual cycles for years. I had absolutely no problems after myomectomy. I felt numb around the area where stitches were bikini stitches you could barely see them. Numbness lasted l for 1 year or so. Nothing bad at all. Fybroids grew back 28 yrs. Later. Going to have hysterectomy this year.
Thanks for sharing your journey! Praying for you to have quick healing and that all continues to be well. No fibroid returns and a fruitful future for you and your hubby in Jesus name! 🙏🏽❤️
Glad your surgery was successful. I had the same surgery about 17 years ago. Times have changed the way they have surgeries now. Had heavy bleeding, clots now my cycles are alot lighter. I had to be cut straight across below my belly. I had a total of 4 fibroids all different sides. Glad I had the surgery made a big difference.
Thank you for the updates....my daughter is 27 and is going to have the procedure like you. She opted for that one so someday she can have babys God Bless her and His will................Let us know how you are doing
Glad I came across this video! Just had my ultrasound last week and mri will be tomorrow. I was scared when they said the grapefruit size fibroid would have to be removed! Feels better hearing your experience. Thanks
So happy that everything went well. My continued prayers are with you and your husband. May the Lord continue to BLESS your UNION and the each of you individually. I’m also thankful that you’ve shared your story. I am so proud of you courage for being so transparent. I empathize with you in dealing with the pain other unfortunate circumstances that fibroids bring. I can TOTALLY relate. I have been dealing with many of the same symptoms and have recently been informed of some great fibroid removal procedures, aside from a hysterectomy, which unfortunately too many Black women (including close family members and friends) have been subject to having, due to lack of provided alternatives. You are blessed and have been a true blessing for having shared your journey, which will help provide women with a great deal of insight, hope and an abundance of FAITH along their process. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Barrett, for helping & allowing us along y’all journey. Blessed-Up! 🙏🏾🫶🏾🙏🏾🫶🏾🙏🏾

Speedy recovery 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Y'all baby is going to be so cute😍😍😍
Good to know that everything went well now I am praying for the babies to come it going to happen now that this is behind you just start doing a detox of cleaning your body and lay off drinking both of you guys just start eating healthy and exercising and watch when you least expect it you gonna be pregnant and you’re gonna give birth to some of the most beautiful babies God already have a plan for you all praying for you can’t wait blessings Happy New Year’s to you both 🫶🏽🎈🎊🎈🎊
Thank God your surgery went well. Glad you are recovering well! Praying for continued recovery. Keeping you in my prayers 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️

Praying for a speedy recovery. 🙏
I’m glad your doing well ! My thoughts and prayers are with you ! I’m glad that your hubby is so supportive , and taking such good care of you!

Blessed-Up! 🙏🏾🫶🏾🙏🏾🫶🏾🙏🏾
