My very first Graphic Design class assignment was to follow a tutorial to help teach myself photoshop. I decided to follow this video because everything else looked boring lol, and now (after far too much time) I have a great vintage looking Beach Bunny poster! Thanks for the lovely video! I would love some more info on the shortcuts thing you used to change the look of the man, that's what I struggled most with trying to replicate.
hey i know this was 5 months ago but all u do is click ur image, press "select" on the bar above, then "subject" once the select tab expands down. then select "layer masks" which should be on the bottom right of your screen. the masking button is just a rectangle with a circle inside.
Been watchin your channel for a few months now man and I’ve kept up with every vid. I’m going to college next year and plan on majoring in some field for graphic design so its nice to see someone on youtube that shows alot of both the design and business side of being a graphic designer
So glad I stumbled upon this channel, really unique style, lots of tips I’ve already started using and I’m noticing my designs are looking a lot cleaner. This will be a huge channel before long.
These videos are super helpful Jesse! If you're thinking of making more of these, could you add in the keyboard shortcuts you're using? Trying to speed up the work flow and It seems like you gut yours on dial. Solid stuff!
Hi Jesse! just want to ask one thing. at 5:23 .. will there be any copyright issue if I use images like this from google? or particular names like muddy water ?? I've just started graphic designing so don't know if I should use any brand/person names for poster designs.
@@camila.gonzalez1 Hi Camila! The original question was about copyright. What I was saying is- if you find an image online and want to use it in your student project, you are allowed to use it legally. If you were then to publish the same work commercially, because let’s say some company really liked your work and wanted to use it to promote their products or services, then you would need to get a license. Does this make it more clear?
@@photopracticum Ooh okay yes it does make sense! I've been wanting to make graphic tees as well and I was confused on the copyright thing! Thank you sm
You put the apostrophe before the “78” because the “19” is getting abbreviated. Do not=Don’t the apostrophe is a place holder for the missing letters or numbers.
I have an issue with photoshop, it happens out of nowhere and every time imma gonna write something you can clearly see the pixel and idk how to fix it
just a piece of advice, next time why don't you explain better what you are doing with the tools? Sometimes you speed it up and it was hard to follow. I guess this is not for absolute beginners right?
biggest step is learning photoshop, i recommend knowing what you’re tools are and how to use them and maybe this video will just feel like review rather than a tutorial 🫡
This isn't a tutorial, is just a chilling video about someone' designing process. If you want to learn design then *look* for design tutorials, there's a LOT out there teaching the basics.
@@photopracticum thank you for taking the time to answer this comment even after all these months, I will definitely watch the viseo as it seems very useful, cheers!
Thank you so much! I’ll probably do more, I also have more of the blues posters I designed on my IG (@permanentglue) I made the grid With the “insert guide layout” option

Muddy Waters told me you should scroll back up and like the video 👀
I think many of us would like a tutorial like this but with a more clear step-by-step guide, and something that beginners can understand.

If you use it for a student project then you are fine. If you want to use the image commercially, then you need a license to use the image!

Can we do the same thing with Adobe Illustrator ?
Yes, but Illustrator is geared more towards vector graphics and Illustration. Photoshop and InDesign are better for layouts.
