  • I repaired the front yard of the sawmill. In summer there are often sudden rains. I went into the forest looking for food, I caught a frog and some crabs. Pick a few vegetables, a frugal meal.

Keep it up your amazing!

My parents are hmong. They came from Laos, Thailand. And immigrated to the US. Growing up we watched countless movies of people back in their homeland breaking the rice husks exactly like that. It's crazy. I'm full American and my native tongue is non fluent. Coming back to a video of simpler times how my parents lived as made me realize I've come full circle. Just felt I'd share this thought.

What I really want to see is more blacksmithing, I believe you have done some in the past, but here are some more ideas:
    - A proper oven, like a tandoori or one with a chimney and a hot plate, so you don't have to cook over the fire
    - Oil press, there must be some kind of seed there that you can extract oil from
    - Lamps, so we can see things when it's getting dark
    - A pigsty or some other source of protein besides the fish. Maybe some kind of bird that lays eggs?
    - A wood lathe. You already have the water wheel, you can use it to make things out of wood
    - Making some alcohol, if not for drinking then for burning or sanitizing purposes.
    - A loom, so you can make fabrics
    - A tannery, so you can make leather products
    - A glass-melting furnace
    - More roads, or a system to move around easier while carrying materials
    - Steam power, electricity etc (maybe too optimistic) for the future

    SENSACIONAL.
