Now if I put bananas in my backyard like that to dry, all kinds of bees and flies would be all over them! How do you keep critters off of them while they are drying? Can you dry papaya and jack fruit?

he used large bamboo that had the sections drilled out as pipe from the creek to the pond then back to the creek. Doing this is illegal in most usa states. Duong is in vietnam, the 'communist' country.
Thats cool that you are protecting the structural integrity of the pond. But please don't mistake us for fools. You could have figured out a place for them to be the pigs they are. They should have mud in their life. We all know a happy pig taste better than a content one and a content one taste better than a sad one. It is unfortunate to see this decision made for them considering the space you have. I know this will not get a like but I love you anyway. Those geese were bought and raised by me with the ducks, so they are very close to each other.

He used bamboo to fill a hole (originally rice paddies) he built from upstream. The pond drains back into the river downstream
