Title of the video is more for the translation ("God from the Machine") rather than the definition used used as a plot device (a seemingly unsolvable problem in a story is suddenly or abruptly resolved by an unexpected and unlikely occurrence). I think it makes sense with the superstition that plays a major part in the case of The Haunted Furnace thus far.
