I'm starting to see a theme of monsters that are actual nightmare fuel and I love it what for the new elder dragon it's just gonna be a walking vortex of horror
Few important things! The new monsters are Lala Barina and Rey Dau, a fluffy Temnoceran (spider) and an electrical Flying Wyvern Lala Barina’s gear was likely already shown off during the Charge Blade overview video with the fluffy dress and rose motifs. Lala Barina seems to expand the fluff on its behind and shakes it all off, resulting in bits of the fluff or “florets” to float in the air. If you touch it, you get paralyzed. Also it has freaky hands! Rey Dau is the apex predator of the desert Savannah region and is NOT our Flagship. Considering how big this guy is I’m excited to see what the Flagship will be. Rey Dau gets itself struck by lightning to overcharge and become a living railgun which is awesome They did in fact show NPC Story characters joining your hunt as support. This is a mechanic brought over from Frontier and Sunbreak but will be more tightly woven into the story! Due to the open nature of the game you’ll be spending a lot of time in the field, and therefor more time cooking for yourself with a bunch of different fun animations!
GOG! The roster for Wilds is already looking sooo much better than worlds roster and we are only 6 potentially 7 monsters in, depending on if Congalala actually does come back which is 90% possibility (DB armor set). We have two flying wyverns, one Amphibian, one Leviathan, one Temnoceran and one (possibly two) fanged Beasts! And the Switchaxe armor could possibly be from a new Neopteron so the bugs might not stop at Lala Burina! I’m so hyped like I’m so jealous of the people who get to play Wilds in Cologne. I NEED THIS GAME NOW! It’s looking phenomenal.
They're giving the monster hunter World and Iceborne palico armor sets because this is a mainline game and the spiritual succesor to World/ Iceborne not because there is something wrong with Rise. When gen 6 portable games comes out they'll do something similar with Rise.
Lmao, now you realize why people LOVE insect monsters. Dinosaurs and lizards can only be so different. At some point, bug monsters are just way cooler with how unique their fights can be. Not to mention they always get anime gundam mech knight armor lmao. New Temnoceran yeee! Also a lot of Dual Blade moves I don't believe we see in the showcase.
