Yeah the VFX for the attacks is a bit of a work in progress still, although much better than knights over-the-top combat VFX lol. The funny thing also is how my thingy looks similar to the originals on a surface level but anyone who does a direct comparision will notice that there are quite a lot of differences (which is to be expected tbh, given that I made the entirety of the actual gameplay code from scratch and don't even try to make a carbon copy of the original gameplay).
@@RRe36 Yeah, I agree. It's the small details which makes your project different. I do use Unreal so I can understand the pain but nevertheless this is a solid job. On the FX side, maybe try to add a chromatic aberration or a glitch effect when Batman does take a hit or when he stuns enemies. Wish you luck, man.
When he sprays the explosive gel on the wall why did I immediately think of the fresh prince of bel air opening?
THE CAPE PHYSICS ARE INSANE
This is so impressive man. Really looking forward to watching more of your Arkham 💙
07:31 that Militia soldier is exhausted?! That's something Rocksteady should have implemented this as a feature.
07:42 the beatdown ending with Batman holding enemy's head with one hand as if aiming his other hand before knocking him out is *chef's kiss*
Whole new game just running this engine. Would much rather take this over knights. Great job on the mechanics and all
Whoa, this looks amazing, and matches the aesthetic of Batman and the Arkham games spot-on for a game made by one person! Amazing job! :O
I LOVE THE GLIDING ON THE CAPE!
The cape physics are just so satisfying
BRO THIS IS OUTSTANDING!!!
Idk why this is way freaking better than Gotham knights like how it's even possible?
This is awesome omg!! I love all the suits they look fantastic! The gameplay even looks really fun!! keep up the amazing work, would love to have another arkham game!
wow all the new animations of traversal and combat are very well done, and i love the whole project
This makes me want to play Batman again and I already played through the series not to long ago.
Damn, as a dev myself i must admit this is purely and simply mental. I need to step up now :) GUUD JOB !!!
Combat plays better then Gotham knights period I love how the camera is incorporated in the combat pretty dope bro 🔥
Yoooo this looks clean! Keep up the great work🔥
at 4:15 i love that flip animation
Things just got better and better. It great and so fluid and there are little improvements that are actually better than the actual game. Just wow buddy, you have made a great game and amazing mechanisms. Amazing
I Love this instantly by the looks of it..
At 4:14 that's a Trick alot of arkham players don't know as it did gave us the boost for us while gliding without the grapple gun booster..
And the Continous gliding over the ledges, I love that too and it is *Mwah* Awesome new feature..
And especially the combat it is Beautiful Again, Although I Wish that.. (Please don't mind my sadistic thing here)
I wish that when you special combo takedown them, Mostly because either batman Dislocate's their bones or break their legs, They would still be Conscious but Breathing hardly or Screaming in pain due to the dislocation or break but unable to get up... but this is very well done, and I hope you'll Show us More...
10/10
Wow this is so cool! Best of luck on this project :)
I’m amazed by how all of this is done by one person and it’ll only get better from much respect to us Arkham veterans and on some real shi I’d rather play what you’ve made over the return to Arkham remaster keep doing your thing bro
I clicked on this and got WAY more then expected, Great job seriously
That’s so bad ass I love how knew it is and old at the same time
YOOO 7:51
That grapnel attack would’ve been so good to be in the games! Something straight from the animated series or an animated movie
This is awesome!!! cant even imagine how many hours of hard work it took you. If you need any help with the testing consider publishing a demo of the game for feedback. Keep up the great work!
That batman begins skin looks really good, i wouldnt mind seeing some gameplay with that suit
hm how is the cape flying physics done? pure animation?
The cape uses unreal's physical animation thingy, so its physics driven by animations
Gameplay looks soooo much better than the Arkham games without the teleporting wow
The combat genuinely made me happy
The cape physicals while gliding is dope asd
