This is the first time I've actually watched a supermoto race, looks like a lot of fun. Maybe some stupid questions, but do supermoto riders also go for track oriented mods on their bikes like you get in MotoGP etc? Such as quickshifters, aero and other bits and pieces?
I'm going down to crail this weekend to watch the supermotos. What is the best day to go down, Saturday or Sunday? I've just picked up a bike myself, hoping to do a few supermoto races next year.
@@jamesoliver9398 thanks! From experience, don't trust the weather forecast at Crail. It says a bit of rain on sunday but I doubt it. Been going there racing karts for the last 10+ years. The forecast always makes it look way worse.
That looks a real hoot!....😊. Hope the main manufactures start building 500cc straight to the road SMs. They really are slow on picking up on how large a following SM has.

You’d only need aero if you were taking corners at 200kmh, and they don’t use quickshifters on a dirtbike
@@upthecartel8725 You can get quickshifters on dirtbikes almost every professional supermoto rider uses them.

Sunday is usually the best day. I'll be there racing on Sunday. I'm not sure what the weather is due to be like though.
