I am a Chen Style practitioner so I wouldn't like to comment on the external particulars of the movements but the internal work is phenomenal! Stunning root and wonderful to watch. A true & skillful practitioner! Thanks for posting! Peace
damn this old man was so strong in all his movements. even when he stands on one leg kicking with the other, u can see he is unshakable. his grounding was very strong. beautiful to watch.
@ienaPlessken Tai Chi forms are movements to which the Tai Chi Chuan principles are applied. The form is quite useful to the student, who, by practicing diligently, can go beyond it.
I like what people understood back then. That was understanding, not a lot of uncertainty. If the teacher is still uncertain, how can he/she teach you not to be uncertain ?
Really eeally close to the Yang Style I'm studying! I pratice at the Grand Master's Chag Ddu Yao School. This is Tai ch'i C'huan Ti Ehr Lu classical form (108) - second form of Yang Style, Long (108).
yes it is.... not many do know... the general public think Chen fu's form was a simplified version of his dads.. not true. look up his dads form... and if u know (been classicly trained) you will see Chen fu's form. all large and small circles are there... the Yang Family style to do it corretly.. with martial yi (i.e intent) is just as challenging as any other style

His slanting flying in particular comes across so strong and smooth, it's like time slows down.
His movements are nice and elastic.
Good.
很有記念價值,我會再多看幾次
tung ying chieh was was amazing because he took all of the fighting challenges for Yang Cheng Fu. He is my current teachers "great-teacher".
A good variation of the yang style form.
different from the form that I practice.

Es el taichi del circulo libre!!!!!!!!
Unless this was HK (Xiang Gong), consider the implications of filming this in 1950.
In 1950, it most likely would have been Hong Kong or Macau. That's where his two schools were.
