I absolutely love Darkstripe’s design it’s so angular, it has the same vibes as a sinister little cartoon rat that plays as the annoying but always defeatable villain of a kid’s series which is just perfect for him he’s so pathetic
idk if this was the intention but the fact that tiger's eyes arent visible with their unrequited relationship is so fitting. like pointing out how tigerstar never "saw" darkstripe's feelings towards him
i wish they did more with the guy in canon really because his story is so interesting and scratches my brain. he wanted nothing more to please his mentor. he craved his praise and admiration yet he never got it. he went through such lengths to prove his worth, to prove his value to him and yet he was always stuck in the shadow, nothing more than just a pawn.
i love the contrast between tigerstar and darkstripe’s designs, with tiger being more bulky with a rounded face and ears like a tiger, and darkstripe being more pointy!
