They changed pigs on 1.4 if I'm not mistaken. Pigs are actually profitable basegame if you use them to reproduce one time and sell them. At 9 months they had the first offspring, so you buy a young stack of 10% of your pen every month until the tenth month. In the tenth month the oldest pig will reproduce and you'll have a filled pen, now just sell the 9 month stack every month. On NORMAL you decide whether you want to grow the crops yourself, on HARD you must use your own crops and on EASY just buy pigfood from the store. Nice work. Its a real shame that Giants didn't really make them pay in base game. However id does give modders the opportunity to do there thing and make it work. Which shows how big a part modders play in making this game great. Cheaty or realistically. Still takes a few years of work to break even though.
Another interesting video even in real life you have to feed pigs on the cheapest feed to make them pay as you all ready stated the cost of making it yourself silly I don’t know if you have checked 82s feed prices I know a lot of farmers who started off by grinding and mixing there own feed and everyone just bought it in purely because of the cost ( useless information before swill was banned pig farms made a fortune the food was more or less free apart from cooking and collecting in 😂 useless information ) keep up with your great videos 👏👏👍👍

Totally agree. I think the time to break even is reasonable, even in fs19 when pigs were good it took a few years to really get going

Did you put water and straw into the piglet pens? Do you get manure and slurry if you don't feed them?
I put water in only, and I don't think it got used. And no manure or slurry from the pens without food
