As someone who is not even top 300 might in my region, I 100% agree with you that joining rallies and reinforcing smartly is how I get my points from DS/AR since the fights on the field are usually not worth it for me (T4 vs T5/T6).
Another good tip, is if you have strong Hq but some of your members are lower might they can reinforce your Hq , you relocate to centre of action start rally and you members can join your rally safely without their Hq being to close to be swarmed by t6 , when your rally finnished the squads jump straight back into your Hq
although I've gotten more points or damage just rallying bases + hard to get much damage out of rallies unless your enemy can maintain the main rally for a long period or isnt just canceling their rally to avoid any counter rallies
Do you think the recent mass deploy delay that the devs added will inhibit getting a free shield for your shelter? Seems to take about 3 seconds to get all your squads deployed now, if the enemy starts targeting your squads instead of your shelter could we miss out on the shield?

The easiest points for new players is to join *counter rallies*
What does counter rallies have to do with anything?
By the time your counter rally gets deployed the rally has probably already ended
