Noise Pollution | Airplane Sounds Heard from the Forest | Field Recording

During my many trips to record the sounds of nature, I am often limited by the planes that pass overhead on average every 5 minutes. Although this recording may not fit perfectly with the theme of my channel, it is a part of my work and often limits the quality of my recordings. In this video, I selected four audio recordings made in the forest on an autumn day with little wind, and I cut all frequencies above 1000 Hz for a more intense and relaxing sound. I find it interesting that the sounds of the airplanes can be compared to the rumble of thunder during a storm when the echo is heard. The videos are not from the audio recordings; I made them later for a more pleasing visual experience.
I recommend listening with headphones for a more detailed sound.
For sound recording, I use the ZOOM H5 recorder with LOM USI PRO microphones. Filming in 10-bit V-LOG video with the Panasonic S5. Color correction and grading are done in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Thank's for publishing this video and recording!!Noise pollution is a major problem for people,nature and wildlife which is increasing more and more.You know this problem has been bothering me for years. That's exactly why I started my project ''Natures critical ear'' on my UA-cam channel.The effects of noise pollution can already be heard and felt.We should not and must not underestimate the effects.We have to watch this carefully.As Field recordists, we have the opportunity to point out this problem and can make our contribution to change it.I'm sure we can change a lot together. You're right Adrian, really often happens to hear a sound plane and thinking about a thunder really far. Unfortunately for us, is a problem for our recording, but in this video can be relaxing hearing that sound/noise, like when you have a sunbath on a beach 😂

Airplanes are the bane of my recording existence! It drives me crazy to have a recording ruined by air traffic.

It affects me the same way, I want to have continuous audio and video recordings without cuts and the sounds of planes or cars for at least an hour, but this is a dream, maybe through Africa or the Amazon jungle :) Thanks for the comment.
