I met some of the family in Hawaii in 1975, then went to Seattle for a "gathering", but ended up at the ranch. It was an interesting experience for me, except giving them all my worldly belongings wasn't a good idea, since they were heirlooms, and it hurt my grandmother greatly. I wonder what ever happened to Honor? He was living at the ranch then.

Wow this brought back a lot of memories and a few tears for me and my wife ... The Love Family was a shining example of what could be done with hard work and great focus ...other communities at that time fell apart pretty quickly because they had no real communal focus ...met my wife Millie at one of those places called Rainbow Farm in Drain OR over 40 years ago ... unlike the Love Family where everyone was happy to help each other and work toward a communal vision ... Rainbow Farm was made up of one or two people who did all the work and the rest just sat around the main house fighting and smoking pot all day....
Same thing happened at the Rainbow Gatherings ..used to be a wonderful experience ,not any more ..now they have lots of fights going on and a very negative anarchistic vibe to them... really broke Millie and my hearts , we traveled the Hippy Trails all our lives and miss the good old days .... Thanks so much for these Videos , it's nice to have a chronicle of something we'll never see again...

So sweet, thank you for this. I remember that we had to build a corral for the kids who were eating too many cherries!

Did you know that in the 90's, the elders would have "ceremonies" where they collectively "deflowered" little girls? If only the protection from tummyaches given by you then were extended to the children born after the split. But no. You all turned a blind eye, walked away, and pretended you didn't know what a monster Love was.

The only thing more costly than all the cocaine that went up Love's nose is the collective therapy bill of the kids who grew up on that godforsaken "ranch" after the split.
You can sit around and feel nostalgic about your wild and free youthful days in Arlington, but what of the children you forgot? You have all forsaken them.
