    Great Video! Just subscribed. Question...I’m looking to get back into riding and I’m looking at 250 & 300 2 strokes, but this bike has also caught my attention. My most recent bike was a Yamaha YZ450F. I bought it new and within days I hated it. I ride mostly trails and occasional track days. I’m 6’2” 240 lbs for a rider my size and weight would this bike have enough power to pull around a rider my size?

    • @dirtniron

    Great review. For us recreational ride here in the Northeast, because of the laws and limited riding area we have, these enduro race bikes are just not practical to own. It's too bad ..something like this new 250RX would be a ripper around here

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  4 роки тому

      what kind of bikes do you guys ride? what are the rules ?

    • @painsrides3616
      @painsrides3616 4 роки тому

      @@dirtniron We have two legal riding areas in CT. The main one is the enduro loop at Pachaug State Park(most of my latest vids were recorded here). Its a grueling 70-80 mile loop trail with some side areas. The major sections are connected by black top roads, the rule for this place is "street plated motorcycles only". So we have this odd combination of hard enduro trails needing a true enduro machine to ride. At the same time, that machine has to somehow get through CT DOT registration and be "street legal" registered.
      Most rides are on KTM's or Husky's Because these brands have dealerships in the state that sell true "dual sport" models, the brands are on the "CT Master List" so any bike they sell with an MSO that states "motorcycle" can get a street plate by simply submitting the paper work. Other brands with "motorcycle MSO's" like my GTX, Beta, Sherco etc , that are not on the Master List have to be dressed up to meet a list of safety criteria and pass the a state DOT inspection. Once through, they can go through a normal registration process.
      If a bike is sold with an MSO "for off-road use only" or "closed course racing" then there is a whole other paper work and fee process that has to be completed. Then a full conversion has to be done to meet DOT criteria before the bike can be "street plated" ....For these bikes, its really not worth the hassle and cost.. 😡
      Sorry brother, you asked.... lol

    • @dirtniron

    You have the best reviews! I wanted to ask about the suspension from the '19 model to this? I am looking to get the '22 model, and do alot of trail riding here in Michigan, single track and also 50inch sandy trails. You mentioned that the '19 model was too stiff for slow bumpy trails, especially with rocks. Do you think the suspension was better nowadays for slow technical riding? Even better if you've tried the '22 model, and have any thoughts on that. Thanks for your time either way!

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  4 роки тому +1

      Yamaha wr250 is little more trail friendly for average guy, its not built for race environment in mind its more for overall trail riding, has different gearbox with 6 gears and wide ratio.Bike comes choked from the factory.. you need to open it up and change ECU to get most out of it.
      Honda 250RX is ready to ride, bike is fast and quite fun, its built for more aggressive riding (racing), one downside is that it comes with motocross close ratio gearbox with 5 gears only.

    Great video. I really appreciate your subscribe and follow on Instagram motion graphics at the beginning. Been trying to come up with something like that for my channel but I'm not great with motion graphics. Well done. Very simple but looks professional!

    Do you prefer the 250cc 4 stroke bikes to 450cc 4 stroke bikes? If so why?

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  3 роки тому +1

      450cc is too much bike for most of the riding I do.. they are heavier to man-handle them and can wear you out faster.. still like to ride them but would probably choose smaller cc if I can

      @@dirtniron Does it depend on the weight of the rider or is just personal preference?

    I’m just happy to see more Japanese brands offering off road bikes. Competition drives innovation. Just waiting for Kawasaki to drop a similar model. Sorry but the new KLX doesn’t count

    When they add a hydraulic clutch and make it closer to an enduro one not an R, it will become even better.
