Lewis recognised him from the shooting range when he spun his gun on his finger and Emil recognised him in the gas station by the phrase he repeated “dead or alive you are coming with me.”
No CGI prior to '95. It did't existed yet. Sorry I'm bad with names, but girl is SO beautiful, and with that makeup I finally know who she remembers me: Rachel Weiss, my 90's / early 2000's crush.
There was also a low budget tv series made after the movies. It was made in Canada. It was marketed more towards a younger audience so they toned down the violence and mayhem. It is on youtube. the channel name is run with us productions( the original producers). This might be the show you remember? They also made a 1980s cartoon called "the Racoons". If you ask any older Canadian millennial about it, they will know exactly what you are talking about.
18:30 Little-known fact, Kurtwood Smith actually got a little bit hurt in this scene and the actors wound up getting paid stunt pay because they were so close to the explosions.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!" Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Darryl Cox, Joan Pirkle, Donna Keegan, and Spencer Prokop. Automobile Enthusiast Fact: The 6000 SUX was built from the body of a 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass four-door sedan. How I Meet Your Mother Award Fact: Kurtwood Smith's future wife, Joan Pirkle, has a small role as Dick Jones' (Ronny Cox) secretary, Barbara Clegg, who he flirts with before a meeting. They are still married to this day. Someone's Else Problem Fact: Nancy Allen first arrived on set when Paul Verhoeven was shooting the deliberately cheesy sitcom "It's Not My Problem" which appears on television screens throughout the film. Allen was initially horrified to think that she had signed on to make a film with an incompetent director. Movie Magic Fact: Most shots of Robocop and the police car show him getting out or preparing to get in. Peter Weller didn't fit into the police car in full costume. When he needed to be in the car, he wore the top part of the costume and sat in his underwear. To maintain the illusion that RoboCop wears the entire suit while inside a car, most shots show his robotic feet exiting first. What Script Fact: For the attempted rape scene, writer Edward Neumeier originally had RoboCop (Peter Weller) shoot past the victim's cheek, hitting and killing the rapist. While getting ready to shoot the scene as scripted, Paul Verhoeven noticed that Donna Keegan's legs were spread apart, giving him the idea to have RoboCop shoot between her legs and hit the rapist in the genitals. Neumeier loved the idea and that was how the scene was shot.
I love how you keep copy pasting the script fact despite knowing full well it isn't true. Anyone reading this can download the shooting draft of RoboCop script and see that shooting between the woman's legs is very much in it.
The sequel is good and worth seeing too, but unfortunately there is a different director and the studio ordered him to tone down Verhoeven's blood and violence. This is typical of how franchises decline, listening to "concerned parents" and not to the fans that actually buy the movie tickets.
Irvin Kershner directed Robocop 2. (And the Empire Strikes Back) I never thought it was as bad as the critics made out at the time. - Pretty cool Boss fight.
I’ve been a big fan of your reactions and have followed you for a long time. I have both the special blu ray editions of Robocop 1 and 2. Part 3 is garbage. Robocop 1 is the best. I believe part 2 gets a bad rap. Not as good as 1 but an enjoyable movie in its own right. Will you be doing a reaction to part 2? Would love to see it. Keep up the great work!
Robocop 2 would make good reaction video 👍
Thank you so much 🫡

no worry... non of youtubers couldnt recognize it. the same they never notice that there was Directive 4.
luckily there are some who recognise one or both the gun spin and catchphrase
addie counts, the media knights & criminal content
Real hero of the movie is the 1 Dollar-Guy, he just ignores inflation!
There is no cgi in this movie. It is all stop motion animation.
Pretty sure in the Ghost in the Shell movie the Major does have a brain in her shell body.

Jurassic Park from 1993 had excellent CGI effects.

Great review. So glad you liked it. A childhood favourite of mine. I grew up in the 180s!!
If a machine hits you so hard that it sends you airborne maybe 15 feet across the room through a glass fridge, you aren't getting up.
Maybe after you're done with physical therapy 😬
A film best enjoyed with a ginger cat on your lap!
That’s the cuddliest orange cat you got there. I wish my cat would lick my face every once in a while:)
Paul verhoeven is amazing
Please watch other 1980s movies like 'Dreamscape', 'Highlander' and 'Poltergeist'.
If you enjoyed this you must watch Total Recall & Starship Troopers to complete the Verhoeven trilogy!
not sure if you guys reacted to 'starship troopers' but that should be your next paul verhoeven movie - similar dark humor and satire
I 1000% agree
20:36 USB Type Death 😆
Got killed and forced to go to work anyway
That's what I was trying to say! 😂
"I would buy her for a dollar!" :)

"I'd buy that for a dollar" became a kind of meme in the 80's
"Like from video games." Other way around. Video games come from this.
when I saw Robocop at the theater when I was a kid I didn’t need permission from parents .and most kids had Robocop toys .the arcade game was cool
Let the poor girl speak!
"That's life in the big city" 🙂
CGI effects? No, all are practical effects. CGI in 1987 was not sufficiently developed.
You watched the R-rated theatrical cut. Should have watched the X-rated extended cut.,
when filming this movie, RoboCop actor had to take his bottom body part off before sitting in the car otherwise he wouldn't fit.
The sequel is good and worth seeing too, but unfortunately there is a different director and the studio ordered him to tone down Verhoeven's blood and violence. This is typical of how franchises decline, listening to "concerned parents" and not to the fans that actually buy the movie tickets.

@@Wezwolf It has its moments, but you can see the meddling and weakening at work.
It's decent, but has none of the magic of Verhoeven's.
Idk RoboCop 2 was still pretty violent. Tho the squibs weren't as bloody.
Did I hear psycho pass?
