Kash mujhe bhi sahi time pr kisi ne ye advice di hoti...it's absolutely right ...koi bhi sukun aapko apke manzil ke paas nhi pahucha sakta infact aap or door chale jate ho...it's better to be out of comfort zone.
Having said the above things I have also felt that wherever you go and whatever you do you will never find an exactly right place i.e without problems and distractions...so we just have to try our best to fight with the situation and focus on our aims.

@@simran1708So true and I'm one of those people who're regreting everything they have done till now cause I wasted so many opportunities that came to me but I couldn't grab those just because I thought it is not the right place or time for it and it would be better to start from the perfect position without any set backs or flaws and by doing that I wasted around 5 years of my life

I have been living in Delhi for past 2 years and have decided to move back. Because as a student you don’t just have to deal with your study but also have to deal with bloodsuckers+ worst pollution + worst climate. Preparing from home is much more preferable as internet has made it really easier to obtain resources and give tests. All you need is perseverance and discipline, coming to Delhi won’t increase your chances. And with respect to peers, I have found that most of them are regressive and are only their to secure a job, and not interested to embrace the ethics they are taught.
Also Aspirant 2 is a marketing of UPSC coaching centre. Ideally if you are coming to Delhi do your coaching and get back home.

It's true failure is not easy specially if someone genuine lefts you. It's a very tough journey and a average guy (like me) who initially thought it's a halwa competition will feel the pain more intensely.

Those who all are criticising preparation from home must once come and see the life in old Rajinder Nagar. If you feel you can do better from home you must go because here it is full of rich people living lavish life, sharing room with partners and middle class students have either to pay 15000 atleast for a good room or live in a small suffocating room in filthy and extremely warm climate of Delhi. A lot of people make it from home itself and it is an established fact, it's just that you need to spend atleast one year in Rajinder Nagar for better understanding of syllabus, current affairs, how to corelate both, optionals etc etc..
By all this I don't mean that anyone should wait for 5 attempts, but living in Rajinder Nagar sucks you physically, mentally and financially and it's not worth it..
End is important whatever MEANS may be but leaving Delhi is NOT a bad decision if you are serious for your dreams.

See if you are able to understand the syllabus of UPSC on your own and if you can study at home, that would be great.. But if you are having basic queries regarding understanding syllabus, making notes, correlating dynamics with static part, you must take some guidance. I had no senior in this field, so I had to come to orn..

If you have studied from good college or university, you can decode syllabus, pattern of questions asked etc., then you should prepare from home itself and if study at home don't work, find a library, join it and Crack the exam. I belong to Bihar. I had a lot of queries and questions regarding upsc preparations and had noone to discuss them, so I came to Delhi.. But if your basics about exam is clear, you can prepare from anywhere.. Also, with time you learn a lot of things in process of preparation.. Enjoy your journey.. 🤝🤝

After 2 serious solo attempts, one can get a job/enroll in a course that gives an alternative career and then continue preparing alongside. This will reduce anxiety, stress and most importantly the feeling of worthlessness😢
He is right I can assure you that repeating takes one toll mentally emotionally and physically and both physically and mentally you get broken.
My fifth attempt.. 2nd last attempt… anxiety at its peak…. Yet trying my best to be calm and positive… My advice to newcomers- Work as hard as you have to, whatever it takes, crack the exam in your first 2 attempts. Beyond that, life becomes painful and your motivation goes down. Failing the same exam over and over again shatters your confidence.
True... it's a very good thing to succeed on first attempt... however falling down repeatedly and getting up again is not an easy task.. only those who are preparing for exams truly understand this.

Hai but woh log b aage bd gye h kafi toh unse kya hi discuss kru.. aur main toh city change v nh kr skti like mere ghr wale nh manege aur waise v kahi aur jakr rhne pr extra chize v krni pdti h akele aur usme v time waste hoga apna.. but what matter is ki hm kahi v rhe kaise v situation me rhe hmhe krna hai aur jeetna hai ye agr thaan lo toh phir aap kaha reh rhe ho kaha nh ye sb se koi farak nh pdega..

I'm from Bangladesh. My country also has a similar exam like this called BCS. My family also wants me to take that exam. Even the thought of this frightens me. I've seen many people who qualified for the viva and still failed. I wish our countries had a better option😔

In this kind of situation, the mind thinks that Ghar me jaake ho jayega, aur jyada time de payenge. Actually the mind looks for a comfort zone. In order to achieve a goal, it's more likely to come out of or stay out of the comfort zone. You can achieve success by studying from home also. But chances are more of you stay out of your comfort zone.
