@@randyosgood4729 Not what, who. A person isn't a mystic because they find mysticism interesting or for some egotistical reason, they are created mystics by the will of God for reasons known only to Him. We all possess latent psychic abilities to some degree, and some can actually manifest these qualities. However, true mysticism (the ability to discern spiritual realities) must come from God.

What if the mystical experiences happen spontaneously during the age of innocent childhood? As a young girl of about 10 I was sitting on my bed looking out my window at the swirling leaves and listening to the sound of the howling wind when suddenly the wind entered inside me through the top of my head and filled every cell of my body with such pure energy and pure love my heart couldn’t contain it. I jumped out of bed, pushed open the screen door, & ran outdoors arms outstretched screaming, “God is inside me, God is inside me”. How I came to associate that experience with the sound of wind followed by pure love & energy as God, vs the God of my Roman Catholic upbringing I attribute to the experience itself and my childlike innocence. I’ve always known since then that God is uncontainable, incomprehensible - but knowable, pure love, pure energy,

I'd say I'm a Catholic mystic, Catholic Gnostic or Catholic esotericist. I pray on rosary beads every day, but also do chakra cleansing mediation every day. I appreciate sacred geometry, clairvoyance and mind expansion, I believe the third eye, but I don't worship these as gods. I believe the one true God, the father almighty but at the same time practice spirituality. I believe in God, but a more magical God.

Good presentation, overall. Hesychasm is a much better example of christian mysticism though. Gnosticism is a hot mess 😂
Also, the heaven/hell aspect of christianity seems to be a Zoroastrian accretion we haven't quite managed to toss. Linear time isn't really the issue either -- the new testament never actually says "eternity". It talks about a present evil age and another to come. The real problem of christian mysticism is our cornerstone, the bodily resurrection of Jesus -- that great metaphysical monkey wrench 😅
We can concieve of endless emanations of ages and unity with God, just not post-human life, or human life apart from physical bodies of some sort.

I don't have a religion but ever since I was a very little girl I knew I was very different I felt and strong connection to Egypt. I was 7 years old. My family knew I was different and hated me for it. I was peaceful but they still hated me. I thought I was hallucinating but now I know it was real. It took a very long time for me to realize I am different. I was an INDIGO child. Now I'm an adult Indigo. I love nature and animals. I am very humble. The world is strange to me. I am going though the dark night of the soul. Money is strange. Materialism is strange. People are strange. I seriously don't belong here. I am very intuitive and know when people are being shady. I let go to alot of people because of it. I am mystical. I wish I was still a little girl. ...life was meaningful. Now it's empty. Nobody understands me. I believe in reincarnation because I remember a past life I died at 34 in a car accident. I had a great life. This life hasn't been so kind. I am 48 but I look 28. I am not changing physically but mentally I feel very old soul.

Hello there kind one :) I know the feeling, you must know there are things at work to pull us down intentionally, they don't want us to commune fully with God, as once you do it's been said you not just become aware of life after death but you have control over it, whether to come back or not. Gangstalking is purely to stop this. Everyone hates you including family and friends because they're gangstalkers, I've had it, abused by anyone I've ever known, absolutely disgusting. Anyway you ain't alone, take care.

I would say it's a little bit more nuanced than that.
The occult, in it of itself, is neutral. It's simply, knowledge.
However, it's important to understand that there are dark occultists who use this information to invert and keep the masses ignorant. Luciferianism is a real thing.
But, on the flip side, of course, the occult can be used for very good purposes by genuine seekers to seek liberation and Union with God. It can be used to break through illusion and to spiritually evolve. It can be used for righteousness, inner peace, and positive transformation.

Nice video. One area of disagreement: I wouldn't call the Christian sexpression of mysticism "gnosticism". Gnosticism was its own thing and actually considered heretical in Christian Orthodoxy. Even Plotinus, mystic par excellance in the period where it thrived, wasn't a fan of it.

13:25 tbf I wouldn't call Crowley a mysticist. From what I've read about him, he was more of a wannabe. I think he chased mystical experiences rather than letting them happen. He was drawn to anything and everything anti-Christian and anti-establishment, possibly due to its revolutionary status. I think he was a deeply troubled man who never really reached the tranquility that a mystical experience provides.
As for Rasputin, he belonged to a cult that I can hardly call mystical. I mean all those whipper orders usually have strict hierarchies, and there are instances when leaders of them called themselves a God or some sort of a reincarnation of one. I don't believe it has anything to do with mystical experiences which provide you with feelings of love, peace, tranquility and humility.
That being said, I do agree with your point that a mystic can violent like anybody else. Just don't think these two guys are the best examples.

what came first the mystical tradition of a religion or the religion , i have a hypothesis that religion is a watered down version of the true mystical teachings.
i could be wrong but in the first 5 mins. of this video they said only the hindus have a one to one basis on the religious and mystical . being as old as it is i wouldn't doubt it. what came first with all these religions , the mystical self development of the self or the doctrine and dogma ?

Good introduction. However, at one point the documentary made the claim that mystics claim that anyone can become illuminated if they're willing to work hard, but this would contradict the views of more elitist schools of mysticism and esotericism, such as that of Italian thinker Julius Evola.

Good presentation. Mysticsm is of course the direct awareness of God. Jesus is of couse a mystic. He is the greatest Sage of all time. He explained clearlly that it is called Spirit Consceousness. You can read this in the book transcribed by Levi Dowling entitled, The. Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ. It has one key to attunement and Jesus said is the purity in life.

Could be the basis of all religions tbh

    • @Wookiemonsterfreak
      @Wookiemonsterfreak 3 роки тому +2

It may be that religion is the sub class. See, most people are spiritual, but unguided many people outsource their spiritual tendencies to a religious group. There they give money and and often their time. Fellowship is crucial for human beings, and religion preserve the sacred writings, and bring the curiosity of individuals to it, so there is a place for it that is for certain. Though, religion puts a cap on people’s consciousness and spiritual development, usually. Few see the importance of branching out further to see the big picture and to read between the narrow lines of the sacred writings, these are the few who’s mystical tendencies take them beyond the cap of religious fear and no longer outsource their spirituality to any group of dogmatic tradition. They fine the divine within and the divine without or no divide at all and each person as themselves. Religion is separation and mystics seek union of all. It’s likely religions were built on the literal interpretations of mystical writings, whereby they originally were meant to be interpreted by the spirit within instead of the intellect of the mind. GOD is love after all, so therefore interpret with the heart.
