  • Hey there, everyone!
    I hope everyone's well, and all is good in the land of Boss GT-1! 😊🎸
    It's been a little while since I've uploaded videos, but I have a new set ready, so I hope you'll enjoy those! I start out with this one, which is about the Boss GT-1's FX1 and FX2 effect blocks. I've seen many players ask about this, so I thought it would make a good tutorial. I'm going to take a look at the basic understanding of FX1 and FX2, as well as their placement in the Boss GT-1 Signal Chain.
    I would like to thank all my Subscribers, and welcome all new Subscribers!
    It means a lot to me, that you watch the videos, post comments and request topics for new videos! Keep that coming, it's great stuff, and I'm always happy to help out and answer your questions.
    Thanks for watching - I'll see you soon!
    Best regards & Cheers!

    hi , all your tutorials are very helpful , in some of my settings in the signal chain i moved the preamp icon first and its more powerful, is that ok? let me know your thoughts ... thank you

    • @GuitarNTabs

      Hello there, Kent.
      Thanks for your comment and question.
      Generally you can arrange the icons as you like, in regards to what sound you're after, but I wouldn't put the PREAMP block at the beginning..
      Doing that will make it sit before the compressor, wah, etc. and that's not really the point..
      I always leave the PREAMP block as is, in the signal chain.
      Generally you want effects like compressors, wah, overdrive, distortion etc. before the PREAMP, and modulation, time-based effects and reverb after the PREAMP.
      I hope this helps.
      Best regards.

    Hi there,
    Just ordered one of these from Thomann. If you have any experience with the GT-8, could you give me your opinion on the sound quality of the GT-1 vs the GT-8?
    Thanks.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  4 роки тому +1

      Hi there!
      Excellent, you're gonna love it! Please let me know if you need anything, regarding setting it up, etc. I'd be happy to assist further.
      I believe the GT-8 was basically the same as the GT-PRO (Rack Unit) and I have one of those. Great effects and preamp/speaker models.
      I still use it for recording and such - it really captures that "vintage" tone quite well.
      A lot of things have been upgraded, created and tweaked, so it would be hard to compare the two, given their years apart..
      But the GT-1 is killer sounding, given it's set-up properly. Effects are top notch, and the preamp models are superb, and require minimal tweaking!
      I hope this helps.
      Please let me know if you need anything else.
      Cheers.

    Great video thanks. Are the rest of the effects moveable. I realise there are certain extremely valid conventions in these matters, but I am talking about experimenting almost for the sake of it.

    • @GuitarNTabs

      Hi there,
      Thanks for your comment and question, as well as your kind words, I greatly appreciate it.
      The effect blocks are moveable, yes. Once you place the cursor on them, you should see an option called "Move", and that will allow you to change the effects around. That's a great feature, especially for experimentation.
      I hope this helps.
      All the best.

      @@GuitarNTabs Oh that’s great to know. I presume that would be the case for other Boss units like the ME80 as well? Thanks much for replying.

      @@accentontheoff - Indeed it is, it's great.
      I believe so, yes. I know the GT-100 can do it as well, and some of the newer Boss models.

      Effects and blocks can be moved around in Tone Studio, yes.
      Give it a go :-)

    Can you add more than 2 FX effects in same time? For exapmle, i wanna use chorus, flanger, compresor in same time. How to make it?

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  3 роки тому +1

      Hi there,
      No, you only have the FX1 and FX2, no more than that, I'm affraid.
      If you wanted you could use the Assigns, to change out some of the effects, if you wanted, so the chorus could change to Compressor, etc.
      I hope this helps.

    Why cant i JUST turn OD on with the ctrl1 pedal? no matter how i configure it pushing that pedal always turns on things OTHER than the OD/DS by itself.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  7 місяців тому

      Hi there,
      That's because there might me other Assigns set up to be activated, when the CLT1 is pressed.
      If you Initialize the patch, then you can start from scratch, and that might solve the issue.
      I hope this helps.
      Best regards.
