A lobster roll is a lobster roll(not typically made with a baguette). Dave is thinking of a Po' Boy which is similar but usually made with shrimps. Lobster Rolls are from New England, Po'Boys are from the South.
Maine girl here, born and raised. We do the lobsters here, (we pronounce them 'Lobstah.') Generally on a finger roll bun with mayo. They are cheaper here than anywhere else, and I don't think we have a red Lobster chain here either. No point when you can get fresh lobster in just about any super market or even off a fish truck. Would recommend finding a off the tourist map mom and pop place for some of the best tasting ones.

Dave glad you started your new adventure, enjoy the school. And yes there will be those folks that no everything and have done everything. Love Lobster and the Lobster rolls. Cannot eat them anymore, gout and shellfish are not a good combo.

those skillets are generally for making eggs that would fit in a sandwich. but are great for individual deserts as well.
Maine is famous for their lobster rolls. It's like their state dish. I live in Annapolis, MD and we have a Maine lobster roll place downtown, Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls. They fly in Maine lobsters every 24 hours each previous day to prepare them and they are amazing. I get at least 2 usually 3 each time I go there.

I've heard of three different types of lobster rolls: Maine, Connecticut, and Manhattan. They're all pretty similar. But you can find lobster rolls served anywhere really on the east coast.

There is or was, haven’t been back in years, a bbq place in my hometown in Iowa that had sandwich named after it- the Rib Shack special. I believe it was your choice of pulled pork or brisket with bbq sauce and their own coleslaw. It was delicious 😊
