SUGGESTIONS: 1. Use fertilizer when mixing soil before planting. Most granular fertilizer breaks down long-term over months outdoors. Indoors takes longer. 2. Better: Pulverize fertilizer or use small grain fertlilizer to increase surface area. 3. Better: Use liquid fertilizer after planting to give plants immediate access to nutrients 4. Pulverize egg shells to a fine dust before adding. Work into soil or stir into water before adding to plants. Egg shells like they used here take years to break down. 5. Better: Use liquid CalMag instead. It is immediately available to the plant. 6. Work Mosquito Bits (BTi) into the top layer of soil (about 1 tbsp.) to get rid of fungus gnats in container plants. Works for your house plants too.
I grew bell peppers in a 5 gallon buckets, (1 per bucket). I drilled 4-5 holes in the sides about 1.5" from the bottom. I put twigs and leaves at the bottoms. I had so many peppers that produced from each plant well into fall. I will try the bottle and q-tip hack this year. 🫑🫑😁
I did peppers the first time last year in bc 🇨🇦 and i used smaller pots and the did realy well I was surprised to get 3-4 per plant 😁 i didnt do much some fertilizer watered regularly .im going to do alot more this yr .

At the end they tear up all the plants and treat the soil with lime and trichoderma. Why tear up pepper plants that took 4 months to produce only 2 peppers each? Root fungus problem? Pepper plants will grow for years if you treat them right. Must have been a problem or they don't realize they are perennials. We limit the flowers on our plants so that the fruits grow bigger, and we still get around a dozen or so plants through the summer/fall in zone 6A.
What was the last thing you used to ammendment the used soil besides the hydrated lime? Soo enjoyed the beauty of your efforts and the way you communicate it to others!!!
@@moonvale I think they mean the stuff in the plastic bag at 10:33. Google "trichoderma for plants". It's an anti-microbial to combat fungus and enhance plant health...I think? I didn't read everything about it. Never heard of it before.

@@genieinawinebottleI thought it was a 5 gallon bucket too, but that would be very heavy to hang from the handles. I am wondering what size bucket was used too. Maybe 2 or 3 gallons.
What to start gardening to fill that empty feeling in my life thanks for the video 😊

It's reusable, so they are recycling it. Better than throwing it away.

Just wondering why only 5 seedlings sprouted when you sowed plenty of seeds in a pot. How come only 5 came out?
sometimes birds eat them. other times they just don’t germinate for whatever reason.
Something very strange about this video. I also noticed that and it's a woman repotting the seedlings too. Hope this person is been honest.
Does it matter who's repotting
Maybe the bought one are f1 only a few seed will grow.
Some f1 eedds don't really grow.
What liquid did you added the pepper seed to
Ano po yong nilagay nyo sa bote
