I'm out here in blackland prairie near San Marcos where there is no natural shade. Thank you for addressing the heat and sun problems! Also about planting in late July! Hey Scott, love the channel!!!!!!! We planted a late summer bumper crop by seed a few weeks ago and will be posting a series video from start to harvest in a few more weeks. Now we just need the weather to cool down. We've been gardening here in north central Texas for over 30 years. I think we are going to wait a couple more weeks for the fall crop. Hello! The key is knowing your first average frost, that will give you an idea of how much time that you have to grow some of these tender crops. This correlates to the days to harvest for a specific crop. It looks like the date for your area is sometime around late October, so that would not work out for beans, squash, and cucumbers.
