You are arguably the best builder on the planet! I might have to try your fiberglass over 3d print technique someday. I hope you will take that to a proper runaway for the maiden, you are going to need a lot of runway for that weight.
love the plane! these are meant to go fast so dont turn to sharp and slow it to much or it will tip stall and not recover. i think that looks like what happened. just keep it fast it looks wonderful such a great job on this build! i do hope you fly it now and dont become a chicken! it is alot of work but no pressure! lol
Crazy nice! Especially with the stripes of red and reflective surface. And even the pilot turn his head. Couple on-board cameras on that plane and it will look super realistic. But you should have replaced Red Bull as sponsor with your logo.
Found your channel today as a recommendation from UA-cam. I like the Gee Bees and especially love the retro-futuristic R3, so I had to binge watch this build series. What a fantastic build! 😍 I sincerely hope it will fly as good as it looks! Fingers crossed for a successful maiden and many years of happy landings! 🤞❤️ Best regards from Sweden. 🇸🇪
@@AngelVenkov1 CG is located 147mm from the leading edge, i.e. 30% of the wing width. Fortunately, the heavy engine does all the work and you don't need to add extra weight
I like how you do most things just by eye. I’d have to measure everything 10 times and they still wouldn’t be right 😁 What do you do for work ? Hope it flys as good as it looks. Cheers Marko 🦘
Amazing job! trully state of art! Few questions: * Are you doing it for yourself? or is it some sort of unique order for somebody? * I started RC/FPV hobby recently mostly with electric motors, that petrol tank in the nose it can take a lot of petrol, how is CG affected during the flight when tank is depleted? * what vinil film are u using for covering? looks soo sleak and amazing * why don't you use some ELRS or TBS receivers? * and finally when is maiden flight?
Hello Many questions, I will try to answer: 1. I only make airplanes for myself. I don't do orders, it's just a hobby for me 2. The fuel tank and its state, full or empty, still counts for flying. But if you move the tank as close to CG as possible, the change is the least 3. Stickers made with 3M wrap film and wings- stabilizers covered with Oracover film 4. I only trust FUTABA electronics on expensive planes 5. Maiden flight is planned for May
@@markoroolaid Thank you for your detailed reply, dying to see how it will fly, though why May? more 3 months to go... maybe you meant March? Regarding receivers, as I know ELRS is top-notch industry standard these days, all race quads flying on them or on TBS Crossfire - which are somewhat similar. Losing control of the quad means a fatal crash, unlike a plane which can glide, so those protocols are super reliable. As I remember ELRS world record was around 50km range, so for your LOS flights, it should be more than enough. ELRS has PWM receivers as well as for Flight Controllers (SpeedyBee F405 is not bad at all). Also flying such amazing models just on LOS without FPV is just a crime :D I wish you would build an FPV plane for next time :) Happy to help and advice on modern electronics
These are some passionate builds. Attention to detail and patience. Awesome video, thanks for sharing these.
Vídeo del vuelo por favor. Buenos días.

@@markoroolaid Talking about big planes. Have you watched the C-17 maiden flight on "Ramy RC" channel?
Yes, I saw it, amazing work @RamyRC

Ok, thank you very much. And greetings from Estonia
Hi Marko Roolaid, impressive job I really enjoy watching it.
May I ask you how do you balance that beauty?
Thanks
Hi, first of all thank you very much. Now about balancing, are you interested in the CG theme?
@@markoroolaid Yes, im interested.

Nice !!!
Very Nice !!!

INCREDIBILE
thank you so much
Basicamente maravilloso!!!!! .Se puede hacer un modelo mas pequeño con los planos que proporcionas?
Hola, seguro que se puede hacer, solo hay que poner el dibujo en la escala adecuada.
Hervorragend! Gratulation.
thanks

That’s a lot of work for a notoriously bad flying airframe. Hope yours flys much better than others on the market
Kind of an unnecessarily pessimistic comment.

It looks awesome and so professional !!! ❤ But where do you find all this time ???😮
It is often asked how this time is found. It's actually easy, if you're really interested in something, you'll find the time :)
Genial
thanks
What a anazing build! Wow! I also build airplanes and love the look of the aluminum foil. Where can I buy it?
It is a 3M Chrome Wrap film. In Estonia, I buy it from IGEPA Group
Thank you really much. The look is amazing.@@markoroolaid
So perfect. ❤
I start mine but 0.75 scale and it’ s a hard work
Thank you for your sharing
Waiting the first fly
How much for the final weight ?
Hi, takeoff weight 13kg
@@markoroolaid thank you Marko

Beautifull plane😍😍😍, where are the plans?
Hi, all my drawings are here grabcad.com/marko.roolaid-1/models
Was 3d printed fusealge simply sanded prior to paint or some other surface preparations? Thanks, Awesome stuff!
Hello
The fuselage is simply sanded. But still, it's a time-consuming job
You should make this a kit
ok ;)
Next project is 2x2 f3a?
👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂
Great and impressive job... Why should you wait until May for Maiden, weather ?
Hi, Weather is a problem yes, we still have deep winter here
Maidenflight?
Soon, soon
WHAT!? MAY??? 😨
