Hi. Nature has endowed Diana Ankudinova with a rare timbre of voice. She is a very young singer, she is 20 years old. Diana is constantly improving her vocal range.
When Ankudinova first came to broader attention in 2017, her range was measured as D3 to A5. As of September 2021, her functional range was measured as C3 to B♭5. Together with her tessitura, it identifies her potential voice type as dramatic contralto, the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice. As of August 2023 her upper range reached D6 in the song "The Day You..."

Diana's name (especially her last name) is really difficult, at first, for most of us English speakers to pronounce correctly. I hear it pronounced wrong on UA-cam so often that sometimes I even say it wrong. We might as well all learn to say her name correctly, though, because for much of the rest of this century nearly everyone in the world will know her name.

Her unusually dark timbre combined with her harmonic profile (the strength and frequency of her first, second, and third overtones) may be the things first noticed about her instrument, but it's her use of dissonance as an artist that you will learn to notice over time. Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in eight billion. Having watched well over 100 initial reactions to her, only one did NOT say she was "unique".

Her technique sounds like a cross of Cher and Shakira mixed. Also it sounds like some hacking technique mixed in at times like a lot of the grunge singers used. She definitely has her own mixed up techniques.

Это человек, который вложил массу сил и времени в образование. Не надо выставлять это как само собой появившееся явление.
Реакция очень примечательная. Этот человек, в силу своей профессии, конечно же, видит и понимает всё, что ему нужно видеть и понимать. Видит перед собой яркого, незаурядного артиста с редким, неожиданно красивым и притягательным голосом, видит хорошо продуманное и прекрасно организованное зрелище, превосходно понимает, как сильно это всё действует на телевизионную и сетевую аудиторию. Понимает, как можно использовать такой голос, такую энергетику, такую внешность, даже такой возраст. Понимает, с каким материалом способен работать такой артист, понимает, сколько можно заработать в случае удачи, предполагает, как долго это всё можно эксплуатировать. А мы могли бы предположить, как бы развивались события, если бы после этого успешного шоу Диана Анкудинова попала в руки серьёзного продюсера. Песню Элвиса Пресли вполне можно рассматривать, как некий водораздел. Из того, что мы получили от Дианы Анкудиновой после этого водораздела - что могло бы остаться при наличии контракта с хорошим продюсером? Вещи, подобные "California Dreamin" " и "Sweet Dreams" - вполне были бы возможны; "My Love" и даже "Я тебя отвоюю" - вполне вероятны. Но таких песен, как "Огонёк", "Город влюблённых людей", "Так случилось, мужчины ушли", "Полюшко-поле" - я при подобном раскладе не вижу. Как и многих других, нам хорошо знакомых, нами любимых. Люди, немного знакомые с историей современной поп- и рок-музыки, хорошо знают, насколько важна была роль продюсеров для таких, например, групп, как "Битлз" и "Криденс". Кое-какие творческие идеи, исходящие от самих музыкантов, не были приняты продюсерами - а идеи, как считают знатоки, были очень интересные. Великую группу "Криденс" продюсер в итоге просто загубил - и этот пример далеко не единственный. Диана Анкудинова, как мы понимаем, идёт своим собственным, извилистым, очень непростым, очень замысловатым путём. Она, очевидно, сотрудничает с людьми, которых можно назвать продюсерами - но итоговый выбор, судя по всему, она каждый раз делает сама. Мне такой путь больше по душе, чем какой-то окончательный или просто долговременный выбор конкретного продюсера, конкретного пути, вообще любой выбор, который может её как-то ограничить в творческих поисках. Думаю, что она и в дальнейшем всегда сможет расчитывать на помощь сильных, творчески мыслящих музыкантов - но путь свой будет прокладывать самостоятельно...

Димаш - это Димаш, Диана - это Диана, какого лешего она должна быть чьей-то версией? Они сами по себе уникальны, этим бесконечным сравнением фанаты Кудайбергенова и к нему самому негатив провоцируют. @@Annuir Я этого димаша пыталась послушать, первый раз он даже не запел, выключила. Не люблю самовлюблённых нарциссов. Потом послушаю 2-3минуты и никакого впечатления. А вот как-то пел песню Витаса, так вообще услыхала на высоких нотах, голос Витаса, подражание. И эту песню пела дочь-подросток Витаса, она и то спела по своему её. Никакого подражания отцу.

Clearly, Dimash can go higher and she can go lower. Dimash has the most perfect voice I've ever heard. Diana has the strongest, most unique and polyphonic voice ever. I wish she would focus on what sets her apart, rather than going the popular music route.
