  • Installing a ton of new parts to get this 240 wagon started again in what I'm assuming is a very long time. Still a ton of work to do in these three 240 projects.
If you'd like to see more videos about the Volvos make sure to subscribe. and thanks a ton for watching!

Volvo 700 & 900 series Volvos had 2 fuel and ignition "systems". One is the Bosch System. The coil is generally mounted on the engine block. The Regina "system" has the coil mounted on the left shock tower with a long coil wire to the distributor. The two systems use different fuel pumps which would explain why you discovered a fuel pump that is not what you were expecting to see. The down side there is no "VIN" break to let you know which system to purchase. You must physically look under the hood and locate the position of the coil in order to find which fuel pump you need. This started late in the 240 series and was done haphazardly. So, as you discovered, take the old part with you to match your car. Good Luck!!!
