I’m also in the Cronus camp. I owned 2 of the Gen 1 4.5-29’s, and I just ordered a Gen 2 4.5-29 also from EuroOptics. I was gonna get another Gen 2 Razor, but I prefer the reticle in the Cronus. All around a great scope, and EuroOptics is always a great place to order from! 👊
@@TwoTenthsLeft Agreed. I definitely take advantage of their demo items. Got a great deal on an essentially brand new NF NX8 2.5-20 for an SPR build. Those Zeiss S5’s have been calling my name too.😂 Have a great day and a Happy Thanksgiving sir!
I agree the Apex Rival has very similar glass, but I’ve found the Cronus to have a more forgiving eye box. Something I hope Apex works on in their future scopes. Is that a CQC 8? Had a few Emersons back in the day!
The big thing I liked about the Apex over the Cronus was the reticle. I love the Cronus and have 4 of them now but I really think the guys over at apex nailed their reticle
@@TwoTenthsLeft yeah that is a good price for this scope I am torn between this one and a Riton 4-32x56 with the discounts at optic planet is today $1169 out the door, both good choices different magnifications, either intended for a Browning X Bolt target lite Max in 6.5 creed with a 26” barrel or an AR10 with a Wilson Combat 24”barrel also 6.5 creed, I have both on separate carts as we speak and want to make a decision for one! hate these moments!
@@fireyourrocketts I can’t say I have much experience with the Riton but I have used the Apex Rival & am very comfortable with that, I have 3 Cronus’s and am very happy and confident with them and I also have a Zeiss S5 that I quite like. I think in the 1200-1600 range the Cronus at least to me is unbeatable

@@markkranz2221 yeah I absolutely adore eurooptic. Sadly I’m down to 2 cronus’s now as I also run a Zeiss S5 which is awesome too

Cool piece. I have here of Athlon but I have never watched an unboxing on them. Going to have to look into them more!

You mention price several times, how much when you bought it? Today it is at Optic Planet for $1219 out the door
@@fireyourrocketts that’s about what I paid when I got it during holiday season last year. When they’re not on sale they usually run 1500-1600
